The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Chhattisgarh, has officially released the much-awaited Round 1 Seat Allotment Result for the NEET PG 2025 counselling for admission to MD/MS/PG Diploma courses in state medical and dental colleges. The results, published late yesterday evening, mark a crucial step for thousands of aspirants securing a seat in the state’s prestigious postgraduate medical institutions.

Candidates who participated in the counselling process can now check their allotment status on the official DME Chhattisgarh counselling portal. The allotment is provisional, and candidates must complete the necessary reporting and admission formalities within the stipulated timeframe to confirm their seat.

Understanding the Cut-Off Trends

The Round 1 allotment reveals key insights into the preferred specialties and institutions within Chhattisgarh. Preliminary analysis of the results indicates a slight variation in the cut-off ranks compared to the previous year, likely due to a minor increase in the total number of seats available and the shifting preference dynamics among high-ranking candidates.

The highest demand remained for the clinical branches, particularly Radiodiagnosis, General Medicine, and Paediatrics. Seats in these specialties were primarily secured by candidates with top ranks across all categories.

Here is an illustrative overview of the approximate Closing Ranks (State Merit Rank) for highly sought-after specialties in prominent Government Medical Colleges:

SpecialtyGeneral Category (Closing Rank)OBC Category (Closing Rank)SC Category (Closing Rank)
Radiodiagnosis120 – 180250 – 350700 – 900
General Medicine200 – 300400 – 550950 – 1200
Paediatrics350 – 500600 – 8001300 – 1600
General Surgery500 – 750850 – 11001650 – 2000

Aspirants are advised to download their allotment letter and verify all personal and seat details immediately. Any discrepancy must be reported to the DME authorities without delay.

Crucial Next Steps and Reporting Schedule

Candidates who have been allotted a seat in Round 1 must strictly adhere to the following schedule to complete the admission process:

  • Download Allotment Letter: Available immediately on the official portal.
  • Document Verification & Fee Submission: December 10, 2025, to December 15, 2025 (up to 5:00 PM).
  • Reporting to Allotted College: Candidates must physically report to the designated college with all original documents and the prescribed fee receipt within this window.

Failure to report and complete the formalities within the deadline will result in the automatic forfeiture of the allotted seat, and the candidate will become ineligible for the current seat and potentially subsequent rounds, depending on the state rules.

Advice for Non-Allotted Candidates

For those aspirants who did not secure a seat in this round, there is still hope in the Round 2 counselling. The vacant seats from Round 1 (due to non-reporting or up-gradation choices) will be carried forward to Round 2. It is crucial to stay updated with the DME announcements regarding the Round 2 schedule and fresh registration options.
