IIT Bombay has officially announced the CEED 2025 results, allowing candidates to check their scores on the official website. The results determine eligibility for M.Des. and Ph.D. programs in top institutes like IITs and IISc, with category-wise cutoff marks playing a key role in admissions. Qualified candidates must apply separately to individual institutes, where additional selection rounds like interviews, portfolio reviews, and design tests may be conducted.

IIT Bombay has declared the Common Entrance Exam for Design (CEED) 2025 results, bringing an end to the wait for thousands of aspiring designers. Candidates can now download their scorecards online, which will be available for a limited period. It is advised to secure a copy for future reference.

Steps to Check CEED 2025 Result

To access the results, candidates must follow these steps:

  1. Visit the official CEED website (ceed.iitb.ac.in).
  2. Click on the "CEED 2025 Result" link.
  3. Log in using your registered email ID and password.
  4. View and download the scorecard for future use.

The CEED 2025 score is valid for one year, and candidates must apply separately to individual institutes for admission.

Category-Wise CEED 2025 Cutoff Marks

The cutoff varies by category, with reserved category candidates receiving a relaxation to ensure inclusivity.

Expected CEED 2025 Cutoff Marks (Out of 100) for Part A

Category

Minimum Qualifying Marks (Expected)

General (Open)28 – 32 marks
OBC-NCL25 – 28 marks
SC/ST15 – 18 marks
PwD15 – 18 marks

Candidates who score above the Part A cutoff will have their Part B evaluated. The final selection depends on the combined score of Part A and Part B.

Higher vs. Lower Cutoff Marks

  • The General (Open) category usually has the highest cutoff due to intense competition.
  • OBC-NCL candidates receive a 10% relaxation compared to the General category.
  • SC/ST/PwD candidates get a relaxation of 50% in cutoff scores, ensuring better access to design programs.

Importance of Meeting the Cutoff

  • Candidates scoring above the cutoff qualify for the next stage of the admission process.
  • Different institutes may have specific cutoffs, so candidates should check their preferred institutions' admission requirements.
  • Meeting the minimum cutoff does not guarantee admission, as institutes may conduct additional interviews, design tests, and portfolio evaluations.

Admission Process After CEED 2025

  • Application to Institutes: Qualifying CEED does not guarantee admission. Candidates must apply separately to individual IITs, IISc, and other participating institutes.
  • Institute-Specific Selection Process: Shortlisted candidates may have to undergo additional rounds like interviews, design tests, and portfolio reviews based on the institute’s admission criteria.
  • Final Selection: Institutes will assess candidates based on CEED scores, academic background, and performance in additional selection rounds.

What’s Next?

With results now available, candidates should carefully check the admission guidelines of their preferred institutes. Missing deadlines or not preparing for portfolio reviews and interviews could impact final admission chances.
