CBSE Date Sheet 2027 : Class 10, 12 Exam Schedule Expected Soon on cbse.gov.in
Published 14 Sept 20266 min read
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has not yet released the tentative Date Sheet 2027 for Class 10 and Class 12 board exams. Based on last year's pattern — when the tentative schedule was announced on September 24, 2025, and the final date sheet followed on October 30, 2025 — the 2027 tentative date sheet is expected around a similar window, with the final version likely in October 2026. [VERIFY: exact date not yet officially confirmed by CBSE.]
The date sheet will be published in PDF format on the official CBSE website, cbse.gov.in. Both the Class 10 and Class 12 schedules are typically released on the same day. This page will be updated once CBSE makes an official announcement.
When Will CBSE Release the Date Sheet 2027?
CBSE has not announced a specific release date yet. Schools have been directed to keep student documents ready for the List of Candidates (LOC) submission — the administrative step CBSE typically completes before publishing the date sheet. Historically:
- 2026 cycle: Tentative date sheet released September 24, 2025; final date sheet released October 30, 2025 (later revised December 30, 2025).
- 2027 cycle: Tentative and final dates are still pending as of September 14, 2026.

- Click on the "CBSE Board Schedule 2027" link under Latest Announcements/Examinations
- Select either the Class 12 or Class 10 date sheet link
- The date sheet will open on screen as a PDF
- Download and save the file for reference during exam preparation
CBSE Date Sheet 2027: Class 12
The Class 12 date sheet will cover Arts, Science, and Commerce streams. Based on the board's current cycle, the Class 12 exams are expected to be conducted in February–March 2027, though CBSE has not issued an official confirmation for this cycle yet. Students are advised to check the official date sheet carefully once released and plan their revision schedule around it, rather than relying on unofficial or projected dates.
CBSE Date Sheet 2027: Class 10
The Class 10 date sheet is expected to be released separately for the main board exam and the second board exam, continuing the two-phase structure CBSE introduced in line with NEP 2020. In the previous cycle, the main exam ran from mid-February to March, and the second (improvement) exam was held in May. A similar structure is anticipated for 2027, pending official confirmation.
What Is LOC and Why It Matters Now
LOC (List of Candidates) is the list every CBSE-affiliated school submits confirming which students will appear for the board exams. Schools have been asked to keep supporting documents ready for this submission. CBSE generally finalises and releases the date sheet only after this process is substantially complete, which is why LOC readiness is a leading indicator of when the date sheet will be announced.
CBSE Class 12 Physics Syllabus 2026-27: Electrostatics
Chapter 1 — Electric Charges and Fields: Electric charge and conservation of charge; Coulomb's law for point charges and the superposition principle for multiple/continuous charge distributions; electric field and field lines; the electric dipole and torque on a dipole in a uniform field; electric flux and Gauss's theorem, applied to an infinitely long charged wire, an infinite charged plane sheet, and a uniformly charged spherical shell (inside and outside).
Chapter 2 — Electrostatic Potential and Capacitance: Electric potential and potential difference; potential due to a point charge, a dipole, and a system of charges; equipotential surfaces; potential energy of a two-charge system and of a dipole in an external field; conductors, insulators, free and bound charges; dielectrics and polarization; capacitors and capacitance, series/parallel combinations, parallel-plate capacitance with and without a dielectric, and energy stored in a capacitor (formula only, no derivation required).
CBSE Class 12 Indian Economic Development Syllabus 2026-27

What Should Students Do Right Now?
- Keep checking cbse.gov.in directly rather than relying on unofficial PDFs circulating on social media
- Finish covering the full syllabus so that whenever the date sheet drops, revision — not new learning — is the only task left
- Confirm with your school that your LOC documentation has been submitted
- Avoid panic over "anytime soon" timelines; CBSE has historically given students roughly 100+ days of notice before the exam start date
Official Website and Direct Links
The only official source for the CBSE Date Sheet 2027 is cbse.gov.in. Students should be cautious of unofficial websites or forwarded PDFs claiming to show a "leaked" date sheet — CBSE has previously warned against such circulating documents.
FAQ's
Q1: Has CBSE released the Date Sheet 2027? No. As of September 14, 2026, CBSE has not released the tentative or final date sheet for the 2027 Class 10 and Class 12 board exams.
Q2: When is CBSE Date Sheet 2027 expected? Based on last year's timeline (tentative sheet in September, final sheet in October), a similar window is expected this year, though CBSE has not confirmed an exact date.
Q3: Where can students download the CBSE Date Sheet 2027? Only from the official website, cbse.gov.in, once released.
Q4: Will Class 10 and Class 12 date sheets be released together? In previous years, CBSE has released both on the same day, and this pattern is expected to continue.
Q5: What is LOC and why is it relevant to the date sheet? LOC (List of Candidates) is the list schools submit confirming exam registrants. CBSE typically finalises the date sheet after LOC submissions are largely complete.
Q6: How many phases will the Class 10 exam have in 2027? Based on the current NEP 2020-aligned structure, a main exam and a second (improvement) exam are expected, similar to the 2026 cycle, though this is not yet officially confirmed for 2027.
Q7: Is it safe to trust date sheets circulating on social media? No. CBSE has previously warned students about unofficial or fake date sheets shared online. Only cbse.gov.in should be treated as authoritative.
