Uttarakhand NEET PG 2026: HNBUMU Releases NRI Category List, Choice Filling From October 29

HNBUMU has published the NRI-category list for Uttarakhand NEET PG 2026 Round 1 counselling. Eligible candidates can fill and lock choices from 9:00 AM on October 29 to 11:59 PM on October 30, 2026.
The Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University (HNBUMU), Dehradun, has released the NRI-category list for Round 1 of Uttarakhand NEET PG 2026 counselling. Candidates who registered under the NRI quota and qualified NEET PG 2026 can access the list on the official university portal, hnbumu.ac.in.
What the NRI list actually contains
The document published by HNBUMU for the NRI category is a list of registered candidates, not a final merit list. According to the university's notice, the list identifies 17 candidates who registered for NRI quota seats in Round 1. The final merit list will be prepared after document verification and confirmation of relationship status, in accordance with the applicable Uttarakhand government order.
This distinction matters for candidates: inclusion in the registered candidates list does not confirm eligibility or rank. Only candidates who complete document verification and appear on the subsequent merit list will proceed to seat allotment under the NRI quota.
Choice filling and locking: October 29–30
The online choice filling and locking window for Round 1 will open at 9:00 AM on October 29, 2026, and close at 11:59 PM on October 30, 2026 (server time).
Eligible candidates must log in to the counselling portal on hnbumu.ac.in using their NEET PG roll number and security password. During the window, candidates should:
- Review the available institutions and specialisations
- Arrange preferences in the intended order
- Lock the final preference list before the deadline
Choices cannot be modified after locking. Candidates who fail to lock their preferences within the window will not be considered for Round 1 seat allotment.
Document verification for NRI candidates
Registered NRI candidates were required to report to Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical and Health Sciences (SGRRIM&HS) for document verification and confirmation of NRI relationship status, as per the schedule issued by the university. Candidates who did not complete verification or whose relationship status could not be confirmed would not appear on the final NRI merit list.
What happens next
Following choice locking, the counselling board will process submitted preferences. The seat allotment result for Round 1 is scheduled for November 2, 2026. The last date for joining the allotted college is November 10, 2026.
Candidates should note that the provisional state merit list for all categories was separately scheduled for display on October 28, 2026. NRI candidates should track both the NRI-specific list and the general merit list on the official portal.
