BITSAT 2026-27 Cutoff Released: BITS Pilani CSE Closes at 308, Goa at 274, Hyderabad at 272

BITS Pilani has published the final BITSAT 2026-27 closing scores for its Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad campuses on the official admissions portal, admissions.bits-pilani.ac.in. B.E. Computer Science at Pilani closed at 308 out of 390 marks — the highest closing score across all three campuses this year. The same programme closed at 274 in Goa and 272 in Hyderabad.

Admission to all three BITS campuses runs purely on the BITSAT total score, with no separate entrance rank list or category-based reservation. Candidates at or above their target branch's closing score have already secured an offer; those below it can still track vacancy-driven movement in later stages of the process.

BITS Pilani Branch-Wise Closing Scores 2026-27

Mathematics and Computing is the second most competitive Pilani programme this year, followed by Electronics & Communication Engineering.

Campus Comparison: Pilani vs Goa vs Hyderabad for CSE

The gap follows the pattern seen in past years: Pilani typically closes 15–30 marks above Goa for the same branch, and Goa closes 10–15 marks above Hyderabad. A candidate who narrowly misses Pilani CSE by a small margin has a realistically better shot at the same branch in Goa or Hyderabad rather than switching to a different branch at Pilani.

How BITSAT 2026 Cutoffs Compare with 2025

Independent year-wise data compiled from past BITS admission cycles gives useful context for how this year's numbers moved:

• Pilani CSE has fluctuated in recent years — it closed at 331 in 2023, 327 in 2024, and 304 in the final iteration of 2025 — so this year's 308 marks a modest 4-point rise over 2025, still well below the 2023 peak.
• Goa CSE closed at 274 and Hyderabad CSE closed at 270 in 2025, both essentially in line with this year's 274 (Goa) and 272 (Hyderabad) — Goa's figure is effectively unchanged year-on-year, which is worth confirming directly on the portal.
• Several other Pilani branches show a sharper rise than CSE. Based on secondary-source compilations of 2025 closing scores, B.Pharm, Chemical, Civil and Manufacturing at Pilani appear to have moved up considerably more (roughly 15–30 marks) compared with last year, while core branches like Mechanical and Electrical & Electronics moved only modestly.

These comparison figures come from third-party compilations of BITS's own historical data rather than a single official year-on-year release, so candidates should treat them as directional rather than exact.

How to Check Your BITSAT 2026-27 Cutoff

1. Go to the official portal at admissions.bits-pilani.ac.in.
2. Log in with your BITSAT application number and password.
3. Open the cutoff or seat-allotment section and select your campus and programme.
4. Compare your total BITSAT score against the closing score for your target branch.

What to Do If Your Score Is Below the Cutoff

Candidates who haven't cleared their preferred branch cutoff aren't automatically out of the running. BITS admissions run across multiple iterations through the counselling cycle, and seats can open up through withdrawals, branch upgrades, or candidates confirming a different offer. Dates and procedures for each subsequent iteration are published on the official portal as they're finalised, so candidates carried forward should keep checking admissions.bits-pilani.ac.in rather than assuming the process has ended.

BITSAT 2026 Admission Timeline So Far

Based on the schedule followed through this counselling cycle: preference filling ran from late April to June 1, 2026, with a short window from June 3–5, 2026 to revise marks and preferences, Iteration-I results were declared on June 15, 2026 with the fee deadline on June 22, 2026, and later iterations continued through the summer, with Iteration 4 fee payment due by July 25, 2026 and campus reporting between July 28–30, 2026. By late August, Iteration 9 fee payment was due August 29, 2026, with reporting on August 30, 2026 — suggesting the process ran close to nine rounds before this final closing-score list was compiled. The precise iteration number and date tied to this specific final list is not confirmed in available reporting [VERIFY].
