Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, consistently ranked among India’s top universities, has officially commenced the admission process for its prestigious B.Tech programs for the 2026 academic session. The online application window for the Amrita Entrance Examination – Engineering (AEEE) 2026 is now active, marking a crucial step for all aspiring engineers.

Key Dates and Dual-Phase Examination

Aspirants should note the dual-phase structure of the AEEE, which offers flexibility for preparation and score improvement. The application link became live on October 29, 2025, on the official admissions portal, aeee.amrita.edu.

  • Phase 1 Registration Deadline: The last date to apply for AEEE Phase 1 is January 15, 2026.
  • Phase 1 Exam Dates: The computer-based test (CBT) for Phase 1 is scheduled to take place from January 29 to February 1, 2026.
  • Phase 1 Slot Booking: Slot booking, where candidates select their preferred exam date and time, will begin on January 10, 2026.
  • Phase 2 Exam Dates: A second opportunity is available with the Phase 2 exam, scheduled between April 25 and April 30, 2026. Registration details for Phase 2 will be announced later, but candidates who apply for Phase 1 can also opt to appear for Phase 2 by paying an additional fee, making it an excellent chance to better their score.

Admission Pathways and Eligibility Criteria

Amrita University offers a dual channel for B.Tech admission, giving aspirants a wider scope for entry. Students can seek admission either through their AEEE 2026 rank (covering approximately 70% of seats) or their JEE Main 2026 Percentile Score (for the remaining 30% of seats). Candidates have the option to apply through AEEE only, JEE Main only, or both modes via the common application form.

Eligibility for AEEE 2026 requires candidates to have either passed or be appearing for their Class 12 (or equivalent) examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) as core subjects. A minimum aggregate of 60% marks in PCM combined, and at least 55% marks individually in each of the three subjects, is mandatory. Additionally, candidates must have been born on or after July 1, 2005.

Application Process and Fees

The application process is entirely online. Candidates need to visit the official website, register using a valid email ID and mobile number, fill in their personal and academic details, upload scanned copies of their photograph and signature, and select their preferred exam cities.

The application fee for the AEEE or the AEEE + JEE Main combination is typically $\text{₹}1,300$. Students applying solely on the basis of their JEE Main score have a reduced application fee. Candidates must pay the fee online to successfully complete the registration.

Aspirants are strongly advised to complete their registration early, especially for Phase 1, to secure the best possible choice of exam slot and center preference.
