Admission Pathways and Eligibility Criteria
Amrita University offers a dual channel for B.Tech admission, giving aspirants a wider scope for entry. Students can seek admission either through their AEEE 2026 rank (covering approximately 70% of seats) or their JEE Main 2026 Percentile Score (for the remaining 30% of seats). Candidates have the option to apply through AEEE only, JEE Main only, or both modes via the common application form.
Eligibility for AEEE 2026 requires candidates to have either passed or be appearing for their Class 12 (or equivalent) examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) as core subjects. A minimum aggregate of 60% marks in PCM combined, and at least 55% marks individually in each of the three subjects, is mandatory. Additionally, candidates must have been born on or after July 1, 2005.
Application Process and Fees
The application process is entirely online. Candidates need to visit the official website, register using a valid email ID and mobile number, fill in their personal and academic details, upload scanned copies of their photograph and signature, and select their preferred exam cities.
The application fee for the AEEE or the AEEE + JEE Main combination is typically $\text{₹}1,300$. Students applying solely on the basis of their JEE Main score have a reduced application fee. Candidates must pay the fee online to successfully complete the registration.
Aspirants are strongly advised to complete their registration early, especially for Phase 1, to secure the best possible choice of exam slot and center preference.
