AICTE QIP 2026 Applications Open for Master’s and PhD Programmes

The All India Council for Technical Education has officially invited teachers to improve their skills through higher studies. As of March 7, 2026, the Quality Faculty Growth applications are now open for the upcoming academic session. This program, known as the Quality Improvement Programme (QIP), helps teachers from polytechnics and engineering colleges get their Master’s and PhD degrees. Students and faculty members can follow the Technical Research Path to find the best institutes like IITs and NITs for their research. This Professional Upgrade Cycle is a great way for teachers to learn new technology while keeping their jobs. According to the official AICTE QIP portal, the application link was activated on March 2 and will remain open for several weeks. The Quality Faculty Growth initiative ensures that our teachers are always ready for the future. Through the Technical Research Path, selected candidates receive a monthly scholarship to support their living costs. The Professional Upgrade Cycle requires candidates to have a valid faculty ID and a No Objection Certificate from their college.

The Quality Faculty Growth scheme is special because it is meant only for teachers who are already working. During the Technical Research Path phase, teachers can choose up to three different programs to apply for. The Professional Upgrade Cycle includes a screening process managed by the Nodal Center at IIT Kharagpur. It is helpful to visit the Ministry of Education website to see how these programs help the nation.
