NEET PG 2026: MCC Updates AIQ and Central Seat-Matrix Files

Published 16 Oct 20262 min read8 Views

The Medical Counselling Committee’s official PG counselling pages now link to the replacement All India Quota and central internal-quota seat-matrix files for NEET PG 2026. Candidates who downloaded these files earlier on 15 October should open the current versions before finalising Round 1 choices.
MCC also announced a choice-filling pause from 3 PM to 4 PM on 15 October to add confirmed seats, with resumption planned afterwards. Candidates should check the current portal status and their saved choices when they log in.
Download the current official matrices
Use the MCC Current Events page to check for subsequent replacements. The currently linked documents are:
| Admission route | Official document |
|---|---|
| All India Quota MD/MS | AIQ seat matrix |
| Central internal quota MD/MS | Central internal-quota matrix |
| DNB | DNB matrix, labelled Final by MCC |
| Deemed universities MD/MS | Deemed-university matrix |
Check the institute, branch, quota, and category together. A seat appearing in a matrix is not an individual allotment or confirmation that every candidate is eligible for that quota.
Round 1 dates to keep in view
The published tentative MCC schedule lists:
| Activity | Date and time |
|---|---|
| Registration closes | 21 October 2026, 12 noon |
| Payment closes | 21 October 2026, 3 PM |
| Choice filling closes | 22 October 2026, 10 AM |
| Choice locking | 21 October 2026, 4 PM to 22 October 2026, 10 AM |
| Scheduled allotment result | 24 October 2026 |
| Reporting/joining | 26 October to 2 November 2026 |
The schedule specifies server time for the registration, payment, choice-filling and locking cutoffs. These are scheduled stages, not an announcement that an allotment result has already been released.
What candidates should do now?
