How to Download the ICAR Round 3 Allotment Letter
- Open the official ICAR counselling portal.
- Select Applicant Login.
- Enter the application number and password used for counselling.
- Open the Round 3 allotment section.
- Download the allotment letter and save a copy.
- Check the university’s document-query status.
- Complete any document resubmission requested in the login.
- Pay the applicable seat-acceptance fee before the portal deadline, where required.
Candidates should not rely only on a screenshot or message received from another person. The login dashboard and official counselling portal are the controlling sources for individual allotment status.
What to Check in the Allotment Letter
Confirm the allotted university, programme, subject or discipline, candidate details, category, and reporting instructions. If an entry appears inconsistent with the application or uploaded documents, use the official help-desk route promptly.
The portal also provides university contacts for PG and PhD admission queries. Candidates can use the relevant university contact for admission-related clarification while using the counselling Help Desk for technical issues.
Document Verification and Resubmission
Universities may raise queries during online document verification. Candidates should check their login repeatedly until the verification stage closes.
If a document is returned for correction or resubmission, upload the correct file early enough for the university to verify it by the applicable deadline.
Uploading a file close to the deadline does not itself confirm acceptance. Candidates should look for the updated verification status and preserve acknowledgements or screenshots of completed actions.
Seat-Acceptance Fee and Admission Letter
The official schedule includes seat-acceptance-fee payment and generation of the provisional admission letter within the Round 3 process. Candidates should use only the payment facility inside the official portal, verify the transaction status and keep the receipt.
Do not use payment links shared through unofficial messages. If a transaction fails or remains pending, contact the counselling Help Desk before the deadline and retain the transaction reference number.
What Happens Next
Universities are scheduled to complete Round 3 reporting by 8:00 PM on October 13. The fourth counselling round is scheduled to begin with allotments at 11:00 AM on October 15.
Candidates who do not receive a seat or remain eligible for a later round should read the official rules before changing or withdrawing an admission decision.
