Delhi Technological University (DTU) has opened applications for BA (Hons) Economics 2026-27 Special Spot Round admissions. The admission notice has been published on the official DTU website. Fresh applications will be accepted until August 31, 2026. The Special Spot counselling will also be conducted on August 31, 2026, at the University School of Management Studies (USME), East Delhi Campus, from 10 AM to 12 PM in a single shift. The Special Spot Round will be conducted to fill seats remaining vacant after the previous admission rounds.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the DTU Special Spot Round must meet the following requirements:

• Have appeared for CUET UG 2026.
• Secure at least 50% marks in Class 12.
• Have Mathematics or Applied Mathematics as one of the Class 12 subjects.
• Pass the qualifying examination from a recognised education board.
• Meet the prescribed CUET-based merit criteria.

The merit list will be prepared based on Mathematics, two domain subjects and one language or another domain subject, as applicable.

DTU Special Spot Round Seat Reservation

A total of 182 seats are available for the programme.

• 85% seats are reserved for candidates from the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi.
• 15% seats are reserved for candidates from outside Delhi.
• SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS and PwD candidates will be considered according to the applicable Central Government reservation policy.

What to Do on the Counselling Date?

Candidates shortlisted for the Special Spot Round must:

• Report to the USME East Delhi Campus by 10 AM on August 31, 2026.
• Carry all required original documents and photocopies.
• Complete document verification at the counselling venue.
• Ensure that they have submitted the application through the official DTU portal.
• Only candidates who have successfully applied through the official portal will be considered for the Special Spot Round.

1. CUET UG 2026 scorecard and admit card
2. Class 10 mark sheet and passing certificate
