XLRI Jamshedpur will hold the second official XAT 2027 mock test on September 30, 2026, with the test link staying active for 24 hours until October 1. Candidates who want to attempt it must register by September 27, 2026, at xatonline.in.

Mock Test 2: dates and format

This is the second XAT mock test of the current admission season. It replicates the actual XAT exam's structure and difficulty level, so candidates get a realistic feel for the real test. On September 30, XLRI will email the mock test link to registered candidates, who then log in and attempt it within the 24-hour window.

How to register for the XAT mock test

1. Visit xatonline.in/mocktest/
2. Click the "XAT mock test" tab
3. Select "Register for XAT 2027" or "Sign up"
4. Enter name, date of birth, nationality, phone number, and email ID
5. Submit to generate a login, then confirm using the OTP received
6. Fill in academic and personal details on the application form
7. Upload photograph and signature in the prescribed format
8. Select preferred test cities
9. Choose an XLRI course and campus — Jamshedpur or Noida
10. Pay the fee via debit/credit card or net banking

Registration fee

Candidates pay Rs 2,300 to register. Those applying for PGDM(GM) through GMAT/GRE pay Rs 2,600, and NRI, PIO, OCI or foreign candidates pay Rs 5,000, with an additional Rs 200 for each XLRI programme selected. 

XAT 2027: exam date, pattern and cities

The XAT 2027 exam is scheduled for Sunday, January 3, 2027, with a single exam slot running from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The exam will consist of four sections with no sectional time limit — Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning, Decision Making, Quantitative Aptitude & Data Interpretation, and General Knowledge. The full exam runs three hours. Candidates can choose from more than 70 test cities. Registration for the main XAT 2027 exam itself remains open until December 6, 2026.
