The West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) has announced the crucial dates for the Round 3 Counselling of the West Bengal NEET UG 2025 state quota seats for MBBS and BDS admissions. Aspirants seeking a seat in the state's medical and dental colleges must adhere strictly to this revised, time-bound schedule. This round is particularly significant for candidates who haven't secured a seat in the previous rounds or are looking for an upgrade. For regular updates follow Only Education News.

Registration Deadline Approaching

The most immediate and critical deadline for eligible candidates is the Online Registration for the third round. Qualified NEET UG 2025 candidates must complete their registration process on the official website, wbmcc.nic.in, by October 27, 2025, up to 6 PM. This is the final opportunity to enroll for the Round 3 counselling, and failing to meet this deadline will disqualify an aspirant from participating in this and subsequent rounds, including the stray vacancy round. New candidates, as well as those who wish to register afresh for Round 3 (provided they have not been allotted and joined a seat in previous rounds), must ensure their registration and fee payment are completed successfully.

Choice Filling and Locking: A Strategic Step

Following the registration period and the publication of the list of successfully verified candidates, the Choice Filling and Choice Locking window will open. This is a vital phase where candidates must strategically select their preferred colleges and courses in order of priority.

  • The process will commence on October 29, 2025, at 2 PM.
  • The deadline for filling and locking choices is October 30, 2025, at 2 PM.

Candidates are strongly advised to meticulously research and fill in the maximum possible number of choices to increase their chances of allotment. Once the choice locking period ends, the selections are frozen and cannot be modified. The WBMCC typically publishes the Seat Matrix for Round 3 before the choice filling begins, which candidates must review to make informed decisions based on available vacancies.

Seat Allotment and Reporting

The culmination of the third round process is the Seat Allotment Result. The results for the provisional allotment will be published on November 1, 2025, after 4 PM, on the WBMCC's official website.

Candidates who are successfully allotted a seat in Round 3 must download their allotment letter and proceed to the designated college for Reporting and Admission with all the requisite original documents, college fees, and bonds. The scheduled reporting window for admission and document verification is from November 3 to November 5, 2025. Any candidate failing to report and complete the admission formalities within this period will forfeit their allotted seat.

This round is typically the last conventional round, followed by an online Stray Vacancy Round, if seats remain unfilled. Aspirants are urged to act promptly on the stated dates to secure their desired medical or dental seat in West Bengal.
