The West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) has officially announced the commencement of the Round 1 counselling process for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Postgraduate) - NEET PG 2025. This is a crucial notification for all NEET PG-qualified aspirants seeking admission to MD, MS, and PG Diploma courses under the State Quota, Private Management Quota, and NRI Quota seats in medical colleges across West Bengal for the academic session 2025-26.

Key Dates and Deadlines for Round 1

The schedule released by WBMCC outlines a strict timeline that candidates must adhere to for a smooth counselling experience.

  • Online Registration and Fee Payment: The registration window opens Today, November 6, 2025, and will remain active until November 9, 2025, up to 6:00 PM (as per server time). The online payment of the counselling fee can be made until midnight on the same closing date. Aspirants are strongly advised to complete the registration process well before the final deadline to avoid any last-minute technical glitches.
  • Document Verification: Following the registration, the document verification process for the registered candidates will be conducted in the designated colleges on November 7, 10, and 11, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Successfully verified candidates will proceed to the next stage.
  • Publication of Verified Candidates List & Seat Matrix: The official list of successfully verified candidates, along with the detailed Seat Matrix for Round 1, will be published on November 11, 2025.
  • Online Choice Filling and Choice Locking: The most critical step, the online choice filling and choice locking process, will take place from November 11 to November 13, 2025. Aspirants must meticulously research and prioritise their preferred colleges and specialisations (MD/MS/Diploma) during this window. Once the choices are locked, they cannot be modified, so candidates should exercise extreme caution.
  • Publication of Allotment Result: The result for the Round 1 seat allotment will be declared on November 17, 2025, on the official website.
  • Reporting and Admission: Candidates who are allotted a seat in Round 1 must physically report to their respective allotted colleges for admission, document submission, and fee payment between November 18 and November 20, 2025.

Application Process and Eligibility

Only candidates who have qualified the NEET PG 2025 examination and meet the minimum eligibility criteria set by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) and WBMCC are eligible to participate.
