Today, September 1, 2025, is the final day for WBJEE candidates to register and lock their choices for Round 1 counselling. Don't miss this crucial deadline for securing your engineering seat.

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has announced that the online portal for this critical step will close at the end of the day. This is a final call for all candidates to secure their preferences before the first-round seat allotment results are published.

Why Today's Deadline Is Crucial

The WBJEE counselling process is highly competitive, and the choices you submit today will directly determine your seat allotment. Aspirants must finalize their list of preferred colleges and branches and lock their choices on the official portal, wbjeeb.nic.in.

Here's what you need to do to ensure a smooth process:

  • Finalize your preferences: Review your choices and ensure they are in the correct order of priority. Your seat will be allotted based on your rank, your preferred choices, and seat availability.
  • Lock your choices: Once you are confident in your selections, lock them on the portal. Be aware that once choices are locked, they cannot be changed. If you do not lock your choices, the last saved preferences will be automatically locked.
  • Await the results: After the choice-locking window closes, the WBJEEB will begin the process of seat allotment. The first-round results are scheduled to be released on September 3, 2025.

The WBJEE seat allotment process is a significant event for all students aiming for a seat in a premier engineering college in West Bengal. Missing this deadline could mean forfeiting your chance to be considered for a seat in the first round of counselling.

What Happens Next?

Once the Round 1 allotment list is out, candidates who have been allotted a seat will need to take the following steps to confirm their admission:

  1. Pay the seat acceptance fee
  2. Report to the allotted college for document verification and to complete the final admission formalities.
