On June 29, 2026, the board published two official notices. One explains the counseling process, while the other outlines the full schedule for each round. The online registration for counseling starts on June 30, 2026, for those who passed the exam. The schedule includes three rounds: the allotment round, the upgrade round, and the mop-up round for any empty seats. Candidates have to register on the official website and choose their preferred colleges and courses within the given time. WBJEE is a state-level test used for admission to undergraduate engineering, technology, architecture, and pharmacy courses in West Bengal. WBJEE 2026 Counselling Rounds

The board will conduct three rounds for seat allocation. In the first round, seats are given based on the candidate's rank and their preferred choices. In the second round, those who got a seat can move to a higher preference if they want. This is called the upgradation round. The third round is the mop-up round, which is only held if there are still seats left. During the upgrade round, new candidates can't register or change their choices. However, the board may call new candidates for the mop-up round if needed.

Candidates with a valid rank from WBJEE 2026 should follow these steps on the official site. The registration link will open on June 30, 2026.

1. Go to the official website at wbjeeb.nic.in.
2. Click on the WBJEE 2026 counseling registration link. 
3. Log in using your application number and password from WBJEE 2026.
4. Enter your personal and academic information as required. 
5. Pay the non-refundable registration fee of Rs 500 online.
6. Choose your preferred colleges and courses in order of preference.
7. Confirm your choices before the deadline and download the confirmation page.

The board suggests that candidates list at least 20 college-course options. Having more choices can increase the chances of getting a seat in a preferred branch.

Payment has to be done online using net banking, debit card, credit card, or UPI. You only need to pay the seat acceptance fee once you get a seat in any round.
