WBDAP 2026 Mop-Up Phase Revised Schedule: Registration Ends September 19, Check Merit List and Admission Dates

The Department of Higher Education, Government of West Bengal has revised the schedule for the West Bengal Decentralised Admission Portal (WBDAP) 2026 Mop-Up Phase for undergraduate admissions. Candidates seeking admission against vacant seats can register and submit their applications through the Decentralised Admission Portal at dap.wbcap.in. According to the revised schedule, the WBDAP 2026 registration and application window opened on September 16, 2026, and will remain available until September 19, 2026. The merit list and allocation list will be published on September 22, 2026. Candidates allotted seats through the Mop-Up Phase will be required to complete the admission process between September 22 and September 24, 2026. Physical verification of admitted candidates at the concerned institution will continue until September 25, 2026. The revised schedule was issued following a modification of the earlier timetable for decentralised undergraduate admissions for the 2026-27 academic session.

WBDAP 2026 Mop-Up Phase: Important Dates

Candidates should note that the schedule is subject to change in case of exigencies. Therefore, applicants should regularly check the admission portal and notices issued by the concerned authorities.

Who Can Apply for WBDAP 2026 Mop-Up Admission?

The revised schedule specifically provides for applications from two broad categories:

• Fresh applicants who did not apply through the earlier Centralised Admission Portal process.
• Existing applicants of the Centralised Admission Portal (WBCAP) who are eligible to participate in the decentralised admission process.
• Candidates should check the applicable admission rules and course-wise eligibility requirements before submitting their applications.
•  Course-specific subject combinations and minimum marks may vary depending on the concerned university and college.

WBDAP 2026 Seat Matrix

The vacant seat matrix was published along with the launch of the Decentralised Admission Portal on September 16, 2026. Candidates should check the available seats before submitting their applications. The vacancy information can help applicants identify colleges, programmes and courses where seats remain available. Since vacant seats can vary by institution, programme and category, candidates should check the latest seat matrix rather than relying on older vacancy lists.

WBDAP 2026 Admission Process After Allocation

Candidates who receive an allocation should carefully check:

1. Allotted college
2. Allotted undergraduate programme
3. Admission status
4. Applicable category
5. Admission deadline
6. Documents required by the institution

WBDAP 2026 Mop-Up Phase: Candidate Action Plan

With only four days available for registration, candidates should follow this timeline:

• September 16–19: Check the vacant seat matrix, register on the DAP portal and submit the application.
• September 19: Complete the application well before the deadline and save the acknowledgement.
• September 22: Check the merit list and allocation list.
• September 22–24: Complete admission against the allotted seat within the prescribed window.
• September 22–25: Visit the concerned college for physical verification and complete all pending formalities.

WBDAP 2026: What Candidates Should Remember

The decentralised admission process is being conducted to fill remaining undergraduate vacancies after the centralised admission process. Candidates should therefore check the latest vacancy position before selecting programmes. Applicants should also verify the eligibility criteria of their preferred course because meeting the general admission requirements does not necessarily mean that a candidate satisfies every programme-specific condition. The September 19 application deadline is particularly important because the registration period is considerably shorter than the earlier centralised admission schedule. Candidates should rely on the latest notices available through the WBDAP portal and the concerned college or university rather than older WBCAP schedules.
