Under this tie-up, the university has obtained the initial payment from an endowment totaling ₹50 lakh, intended to back student-founded startups, inventive initiatives, and entrepreneurial efforts. This drive stems from a memorandum of understanding (MOU) that VIT and the technology company finalized earlier in March. Through the arrangement, they intend to build an environment in which students can turn fresh concepts into market-ready companies with support from seasoned industry advisors.

The recently declared endowment is anticipated to offer monetary support to high-potential student creators across multiple fields. In addition to aiding incubation for new ventures, the fund is meant to assist students in shaping workable answers to practical, real-life problems. The inaugural ₹50 lakh cheque was officially handed to VIT Vice-President Sekar Viswanathan by delegates from 0 Why Not Technologies, among them Harsha Vardhan, Satheesh Kumar, Siva Kumar, and VIT alumnus Sailesh Dontula from the 2012 Mechanical Engineering cohort. This handover occurred during the university’s B.Tech. Student Orientation Program, underscoring the institution’s resolve to promote innovation from the earliest stage of a student’s academic path.
