Uttarakhand NEET Counselling 2026 Round 1 Registration Closes Tomorrow: Apply at hnbumu.ac.in

Time's almost up for MBBS and BDS aspirants in Uttarakhand still sitting on their Round 1 counselling registration. The Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University (HNBUMU) will shut the registration window for Uttarakhand NEET UG Round 1 counselling 2026 tomorrow, August 19, 2026, by 5 PM. If you've qualified NEET UG and are eyeing a medical or dental seat in the state, this is the last stretch to get your application in through the official portal, hnbumu.ac.in.

It's worth noting that registration alone won't cut it — the same 5 PM deadline tomorrow also applies to choice filling and locking. So candidates need to complete both steps in one go rather than treating them as separate tasks spread across days.

Round 1 Counselling Dates You Shouldn't Miss

Here's the complete timeline for what's coming up in the Round 1 process:

With just about three days between registration closing and seat allotment, there isn't much breathing room once results are out — so candidates should already have their college and course preferences thought through in advance, rather than deciding on the spot.

How to Register: A Quick Walkthrough

If you're yet to apply, here's the general process to follow on the official portal:

1. Visit hnbumu.ac.in.
2. Locate the Uttarakhand NEET UG Counselling 2026 registration link.
3. Register using your NEET UG details and create your login credentials.
4. Complete the online application form with your academic and personal information.
5. Move on to choice filling — select and arrange your preferred colleges and courses in order.
6. Lock your choices before the 5 PM deadline on August 19.
7. Save your confirmation for future reference.

Why You Shouldn't Wait Until the Last Hour

Portal traffic tends to spike sharply in the final hours before any counselling deadline, and a slow or unresponsive page is the last thing you want when you're racing against a 5 PM cutoff. If you haven't registered yet, it's worth logging in today itself, rather than waiting until tomorrow afternoon.

What Comes After Registration Closes

Once the window shuts tomorrow, HNBUMU will move directly to processing the submitted choices and preparing the Round 1 seat allotment, expected on August 22. Candidates who secure a seat will then need to complete their joining formalities at the allotted college by August 28 to confirm admission.

Candidates are advised to keep checking hnbumu.ac.in regularly for further updates on seat allotment, reporting requirements, and any changes to the schedule.
