UPSC NDA 2 Result 2026 Awaited; No Official Date Announced Yet

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is yet to declare the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (II), 2026 written result. The NDA 2 written examination was conducted on September 13, 2026. As of September 23, the official UPSC examination page lists the question papers and provisional answer keys but does not yet show a written-result notice. Candidates should therefore note that UPSC has not announced an official NDA 2 result date. Based on recent NDA-II result timelines, the written result may be expected around late September or early October 2026. This remains an estimate and should not be treated as an official UPSC schedule.

UPSC NDA 2 Result 2026: Key Details

UPSC notified NDA & NA (II), 2026 on May 20 and conducted the one-day examination on September 13.

Is NDA 2 Result 2026 Out?

No. As of September 23, 2026, UPSC has not published the NDA & NA (II), 2026 written result on the official examination page. The latest documents currently listed include the Mathematics and General Ability Test question papers and the provisional answer keys released on September 16. Candidates should rely on UPSC's official website rather than unofficial result dates circulating online.

When Is NDA 2 Result 2026 Expected?

UPSC has not announced a result date. Recent NDA-II cycles show that written results have generally been declared within a few weeks of the examination.

Based on these recent timelines, a late-September to early-October 2026 result window is reasonable to monitor. It is not an official UPSC date.

Once UPSC publishes the written result, candidates can follow these steps:

1. Visit the official UPSC website at upsc.gov.in.
2. Open the Written Results or What's New section.
3. Find the NDA & NA Examination (II), 2026 written-result notice.
4. Open the result PDF.
5. Use the search function in the PDF.
6. Enter your roll number.
7. Check whether the roll number appears in the qualified-candidate list.
8. Save the result PDF and read the instructions attached to the result notice.
9. Candidates should follow the exact registration and documentation directions mentioned in the 2026 result notice.

What Will the NDA 2 Written Result Contain?

The first result will determine which candidates have qualified in the written examination for the next selection stage. Recent UPSC NDA written-result notices contain roll numbers of candidates shortlisted for interview by the Services Selection Board (SSB) of the Ministry of Defence. UPSC may also publish a separate name-wise result subsequently, as it has done in previous NDA cycles. Candidates whose roll numbers appear in the result remain subject to the eligibility and document-verification conditions prescribed for the examination.

What Happens After NDA 2 Written Result?

Candidates shortlisted through the written examination proceed towards the SSB selection process. Recent UPSC NDA result notices have instructed successful candidates to register on the Indian Army recruitment portal within two weeks of the written-result announcement, unless they have already registered there. Selection centres and SSB interview dates are subsequently communicated to candidates through the prescribed channels. Candidates should follow the exact NDA II 2026 result notice when it is issued.

NDA SSB Interview Process

The Services Selection Board process is conducted in two stages.

Stage I

Stage I consists of:

• Officer Intelligence Rating tests
• Picture Perception and Description Test
• Only candidates who clear Stage I continue to Stage II.

Stage II

Stage II includes:

• Psychological Tests
• Group Testing Officer Tasks
• Personal Interview
• Conference

The NDA notification states that Stage II assessment is conducted over multiple days and candidates are evaluated by the Interviewing Officer, Group Testing Officer and Psychologist.

Medical Examination After SSB

Candidates recommended by the SSB are required to satisfy the prescribed medical standards before final selection. A written-exam qualification or even an SSB recommendation alone does not guarantee final admission. Final allocation depends on the complete selection process, medical fitness, eligibility, merit and available vacancies.

NDA 2 Answer Key 2026 Already Released

UPSC released the provisional NDA 2 Mathematics and General Ability Test answer keys on September 16, 2026. The official question papers had been uploaded a day after the examination, on September 14. Candidates can compare their responses with the provisional key to estimate performance, but an estimated score does not establish written-result qualification. Only UPSC's result will confirm whether a candidate has been shortlisted for SSB.

NDA 2 Cutoff 2026

The official NDA & NA (II), 2026 cutoff has not yet been published. UPSC's current cut-off page does not list an NDA II 2026 cutoff. Candidates should also avoid treating 25% in each paper as a confirmed 2026 sectional requirement. The NDA II 2026 examination notice states that UPSC has discretion to fix qualifying marks in any or all subjects. The actual written cutoff and applicable qualifying standards should therefore be taken from UPSC's official 2026 cutoff publication when it becomes available.

What Candidates Should Do While Waiting

Candidates expecting to clear the written examination can use the waiting period to begin SSB preparation. Priority areas include understanding OIR and PP&DT, practising psychological-test formats, improving communication and group-task skills, preparing for the personal interview and organising educational and identity documents. Candidates should also monitor the official UPSC portal regularly because the written-result PDF and next-stage instructions may be published together.

NDA 2 Result 2026: What Happens Next?

Once UPSC announces the written result, shortlisted candidates should first confirm their roll number and read the complete result notice. They should then follow the prescribed SSB registration process, monitor their registered communication channels for selection-centre and interview details, and keep original age and educational qualification documents ready as instructed. Until UPSC publishes the written result, any specific result date should be treated only as an estimate.
