Medical and dental aspirants seeking admission to MBBS and BDS courses in Uttar Pradesh must note the critical deadline today, October 15, 2025. The Directorate General of Medical Education (DGME), Uttar Pradesh, has implemented a further revised schedule for the UP NEET UG Round 3 Counselling 2025, with the registration and document upload window closing at 11:00 AM and the payment of the registration fee and security deposit concluding at 2:00 PM today.
This third round is a crucial opportunity for candidates who missed previous rounds, were not allotted a seat, or are seeking an upgrade to government or private medical/dental colleges in the state under the 85% State Quota.
Key Revised Dates and Action Plan
The revision of the schedule is a direct consequence of the synchronisation required with the All India Quota (AIQ) counselling, which often sees dates change due to the addition of new seats by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). Aspirants must adhere strictly to the following updated timeline:
| Event | Revised Dates & Time |
|---|---|
| Registration & Document Upload Deadline | October 15, 2025 (11:00 AM) |
| Fee & Security Deposit Payment Deadline | October 15, 2025 (2:00 PM) |
| Revised Merit List Declaration | October 16, 2025 |
| Online Choice Filling & Locking | October 17, 2025 (2:00 PM) to October 24, 2025 (11:00 AM) |
| Allotment Result Declaration | October 27, 2025 |
| Downloading Allotment Letters & Admission | October 28, 2025 to November 1, 2025 |
Candidates who successfully complete their registration and fee payment by the deadline today will be included in the revised state merit list, which is set to be released tomorrow, October 16, 2025.
Choice Filling: The Decisive Step
The window for Online Choice Filling and Locking will span from October 17 to October 24, 2025. This is perhaps the most critical stage, where candidates must strategically select their preferred colleges and courses based on their NEET UG rank and the likely cut-offs. Aspirants are strongly advised to research the updated seat matrix and fill a comprehensive list of colleges in their order of preference, as the Allotment Result will be declared on October 27, 2025.
Additionally, candidates who were allotted seats in Round 1 or Round 2 and wish to surrender them must complete the resignation process in person at the concerned nodal centre by 2:00 PM on October 15, 2025. This is vital as resignation after this point may lead to the forfeiture of the security deposit.
