How to Check the Round 3 Merit List
Candidates can check their inclusion by following these steps:
- Visit the official counselling portal: upneet.gov.in
- Locate the "Notifications" or "Important Links" section
- Open the "State Merit List NEET UG-2026" link for Round 3
- Download the PDF (971 pages)
- Use Ctrl+F to search for your roll number or name
- Verify your category, sub-category, NEET marks, and NEET rank
The merit list PDF includes serial number, NEET roll number, candidate name, father's name, UP category, sub-category, NEET marks, and NEET rank. Category codes include UR, BC, SC, ST, and EW (EWS). Other-state codes are OB, OS, OT, and OE .
Choice Filling and Locking: Step-by-Step
Choice locking is mandatory. Candidates who fill choices but do not lock them will not be included in the seat allotment process .
- Log in to upneet.gov.in with your registration number, password, and security code
- Navigate to the "UP NEET UG Choice Filling" section
- Read the instructions and review the available seat matrix
- Select your preferred colleges and courses
- Arrange choices in priority order
- Save your selections
- Complete OTP verification to lock your choices

Eligibility: Who Can Fill Choices
Not all registered candidates are eligible for Round 3 choice filling. According to the official disclaimer on the merit list, candidates must meet all of the following conditions:

- Paid the security money
- Documents verified successfully
Candidates who do not meet these criteria will not be considered for Round 3 seat allotment, even if their name appears on the merit list.

Candidates who were not allotted a seat in Round 2 and did not take admission, or who resigned after admission, will lose their security money and must deposit it again to participate in Round 3 .
What Happens After October 31
The Round 3 seat allotment result will be declared on November 2, 2026. Candidates can check their allotment status on the official portal. Those allotted a seat must download their allotment letter and complete admission formalities between November 3 and November 7, 2026 .
Candidates who do not take admission to the seat allotted in Round 3 will forfeit their security money .
