The Directorate General of Medical Education and Training (DGME), Uttar Pradesh, has officially opened the online registration window for UP NEET UG 2025 Counselling today, August 8, 2025. This is a pivotal moment for thousands of aspirants who are seeking admission to MBBS and BDS courses under the 85% state quota in government and private medical and dental colleges across Uttar Pradesh.

The counselling process is being conducted online on the official website, upneet.gov.in. Candidates who have qualified for the NEET UG 2025 examination are eligible to apply. This round of counselling, which is part of a multi-stage process, provides a detailed timeline for registration, document verification, choice-filling, and seat allotment.

Key Dates and the Registration Process

The registration window is the first and most crucial step for all aspirants. The detailed schedule for the first round of UP NEET UG counselling is as follows:

• Online Registration and Security Fee Payment: The registration window is now open, starting from August 8, 2025. The last date for online registration, fee payment, and document upload is August 11, 2025.
• Merit List Publication: The state merit list, which will include all registered candidates, will be published on August 11, 2025.
• Choice-Filling and Locking: Following the publication of the merit list, the online choice-filling and locking process will take place from August 11 to August 13, 2025.
• Seat Allotment Result: The seat allotment result for Round 1 is scheduled to be declared on August 14, 2025.
• Reporting to Allotted College: Candidates who are allotted a seat will have to physically report to their respective colleges between August 18 to August 23, 2025.

Candidates must pay a non-refundable registration fee of ₹2,000. Additionally, a refundable security deposit is required: ₹30,000 for government medical and dental colleges, ₹2,00,000 for private medical colleges, and ₹1,00,000 for private dental colleges. This deposit is crucial as it secures the candidate's place in the counselling process.

• Class 10 and 12 Mark Sheets and Certificates

The DGME, UP, has also clarified that candidates who have previously registered for other rounds or counselling processes need not register again.
