Important Dates for UP NEET PG Round 1

The counselling schedule for the first round is concise and requires swift action from all eligible candidates:

  • Online Registration and Fee Payment: The registration process began on November 6, 2025, and the absolute final deadline for registration is November 10, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Candidates must also complete the payment of the non-refundable registration fee (₹3,000) and the mandatory security deposit by November 10, 2025, till 2:00 PM. The security deposit is ₹30,000 for government seats and ₹2,00,000 for private seats.
  • State Merit List Publication: The State Merit List, which will determine the candidates' eligibility and ranking for seat allocation, is scheduled to be released on November 10, 2025.
  • Choice Filling and Locking: This is arguably the most critical step. Aspirants must log in to the portal and carefully select their preferred colleges and specialisations in descending order of preference. The window for choice filling opens on November 11, 2025, at 11:00 AM and closes on November 14, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Candidates are strongly advised to fill in as many choices as possible to maximise their allotment chances and ensure they lock their choices before the deadline, as unlocked choices will not be considered.
  • Seat Allotment Result: The result for Round 1 seat allotment will be announced on November 17, 2025.

Eligibility and Key Instructions for Aspirants

Only candidates who have a valid NEET PG 2025 rank and possess a mandatory internship completion certificate are eligible to participate. Domicile rules are crucial:

  • Candidates with a UP Domicile can apply for both Government and Private college seats under the State Quota.
  • Non-Domicile candidates (from other states) are only eligible to apply for seats in Private medical and dental colleges in Uttar Pradesh under the Management/NRI quota.

A significant instruction for aspirants is the mandatory bond clause. Candidates securing admission to government medical or dental colleges in the state are generally required to serve a mandatory bond period of two years. Failure to complete this service period can result in a hefty fine (typically around ₹40 lakh, as per past policies). Aspirants must thoroughly read the official information bulletin on the UP NEET PG website, upneet.gov.in, before applying. Preparing all original documents, including the NEET PG scorecard, MBBS degree, internship certificate, and domicile/category certificates, is essential for the subsequent physical reporting and document verification process.
