  • Registration Start: November 6, 2025
  • Registration & Fee Payment Deadline: November 10, 2025
  • Seat Allotment Result Publication: November 17, 2025

It is highly advisable for all eligible candidates to complete their registration, fee payment, and choice filling well before the November 10 deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues. The counselling will be conducted online on the official state counselling portal, which allows candidates to register and fill their preferences from anywhere.

Mandatory ₹40 Lakh Service Bond Explained

A major and crucial point of attention for all candidates seeking a seat in a government medical college in Uttar Pradesh is the mandatory ₹40 lakh service bond. This bond is a compulsory agreement for students taking admission in postgraduate degree courses (MD/MS/DNB) in government institutions under the state quota.

Key Bond Provisions:

  • Compulsory Service: Students are mandated to complete two years of government service within Uttar Pradesh after successfully finishing their postgraduate course.
  • Posting Locations: The service is typically rendered in government hospitals, Community Health Centres (CHCs), District Hospitals, or medical colleges across UP, especially in underserved or rural areas, as assigned by the Director General of Medical Education and Training (DGME).
  • Financial Penalty: Candidates who fail to fulfill this two-year service obligation must pay a hefty penalty of ₹40,00,000 (Forty Lakh Rupees) to the state government. For PG Diploma courses, this penalty is generally ₹20,00,000.
  • Consequences of Bond Breach: Additionally, aspirants who leave the seat mid-course or fail to serve the bond may be debarred from future admissions in government colleges and could face legal proceedings for penalty recovery.

This bond policy is a strategic move by the Uttar Pradesh government to address the shortage of specialist doctors in its public healthcare system, particularly in rural and semi-urban settings. Aspirants must thoroughly understand the implications of this service bond before locking their choices for government seats.
