The UGC NET June 2026 exam is for determining eligibility for:

  • Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)
  • Assistant Professor
  • Assistant Professor and PhD Admission
  • PhD Admission Only

The exam will cover over 80 subjects spread across multiple days and time slots

UGC NET 2026 Exam Dates

According to NTA, the UGC NET June 2026 exam will be conducted from:

  • June 22 to June 30, 2026

Candidates should check their admit cards and city intimation slips to confirm their exact exam date and time slot.

  • UGC NET 2026 Shift Timings

The exam will be held in two sessions each day:

Shift 1

  1. Exam Time: 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
  2. Reporting Time: Around 7:00 AM
  3. Last Entry to the Exam Centre: As mentioned on the admit card

Shift 2

  1. Exam Time: 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM
  2. Reporting Time: Around 1:00 PM

Admit Card Released

NTA has already released the admit cards for candidates appearing between June 22 and June 30. Candidates can download their hall tickets using their application number and date of birth from the official UGC NET website.

Documents Required at the Exam Centre

Candidates must carry the following:

  • Printed copy of the UGC NET 2026 Admit Card
  • Valid Photo ID Proof
  • Passport-size Photograph (if required)
  • PwD/PwBD certificate and documents related to a scribe, where applicable

Without a valid admit card and identity proof, entry to the exam centre will not be allowed.

Exam Pattern

The UGC NET exam consists of two papers in one session:

Paper I

  5. Data Interpretation
