UCEED 2026 Results on March 6: IIT Bombay to Release Merit List; Scorecard Downloads Begin March 10 for B.Des Aspirants
With the official UCEED 2026 results scheduled for release in just over two weeks, the Industrial Design Centre (IDC) at IIT Bombay is currently in the final stages of evaluating the subjective Part-B papers for those who cleared the February 5 cutoff.

The Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) 2026 result declaration is fast approaching, with March 6 confirmed as the official date. Following the release of the Part-A qualifying cutoff earlier this month ($\mu = 70.86, \sigma = 25.77$), only candidates who met the category-specific threshold are having their Part-B (Drawing & Design Sensitivity) manually evaluated by expert panels. The final All India Rank (AIR) will be a composite of both sections, out of a total of 300 marks.

Understanding the Cutoff and Evaluation
The competition this year has been particularly intense. Based on the Part-A statistics released on February 5, the qualifying marks for the Open category reached 83.75.
- Tie-Breaker Rule: If two candidates score the same total marks, the one with higher marks in Part-B will be ranked higher. If the tie persists, Section 2 of Part-A marks will be the next deciding factor.
- Evaluation Fact: IIT Bombay has reiterated that there is no provision for re-evaluation or re-totalling for either Part-A or Part-B.
