UCEED 2026 Result Date Confirmed for March 6 by IIT Bombay

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has officially announced that the results for the Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) 2026 will be declared on March 6, 2026. This confirmation brings a much-needed clarity to the academic timeline of thousands of undergraduate design aspirants who appeared for the test on January 18. The result declaration will be followed by the release of scorecards, which serve as the official confirmation of a candidate's performance and ranking in the national-level entrance exam.

Result Declaration and Scorecard Access

The UCEED results will be published exclusively on the official UCEED portal. Candidates will be able to view their scores and rank by logging in with their registered credentials. While the result is announced on March 6, the actual scorecard download facility will open a few days later. This document is essential for participating in the joint admission process for B.Des programs at IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, and IIITDM Jabalpur.

• Scorecard Availability: Downloadable from March 10, 2026, until July 31, 2026.
• Ranking Basis: The All India Rank (AIR) is calculated based on the combined marks of Part-A and Part-B.
• Tie-Breaker: In cases of identical scores, higher marks in Part-B are used to provide clarity in the final ranking.

Admission Process and Result-Sharing Institutes

Once the result is out, the confirmation of a seat in a premier design institute depends on the merit rank and the choices filled during the counselling process. Beyond the participating IITs, several "result-sharing institutes" will also accept UCEED 2026 scores for their respective B.Des admissions. However, these institutes do not participate in the joint counselling conducted by IIT Bombay, meaning candidates must apply to them individually to gain clarity on their admission status.

• Merit List: Only candidates who qualify in Part-A will be considered for the rank list.
• Registration: Candidates must ensure their UCEED candidate portal profile is updated before the result day.
• Validity: The UCEED 2026 score is valid for one academic year only, serving as a final confirmation of eligibility for the 2026-27 session.

Conclusion

The announcement of the March 6 result date allows students to plan their next steps in the design admission cycle. Candidates are encouraged to regularly check the UCEED Official Website for any further updates or changes in the schedule. For a detailed overview of the UCEED Result and Merit List process, students should refer to the official information brochure. This systematic approach ensures total clarity and a transparent selection process for the next generation of Indian designers.
