The Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test (TS ICET) 2025 results are out, and the next crucial step for every qualified management aspirant is the counselling and seat allotment process. The Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) is set to commence the TS ICET counselling from the third week of August, opening the gateway to MBA admission in numerous colleges across the state. This is a critical period for students who have worked hard to secure a good rank and are now looking to finalize their higher education plans. The TS ICET counselling process is conducted in two main phases, with a final spot admission round to fill any vacant seats. Being prepared with all the necessary documents and a clear understanding of the process is key to a successful admission process.

Step-by-Step TS ICET Counselling Process

The TS ICET counselling process is a streamlined, multi-stage procedure designed to ensure a fair and transparent allocation of seats. Candidates must follow a specific sequence of steps to successfully complete their MBA admission formalities. The first phase of counselling is scheduled to begin with slot booking for certificate verification, which is a mandatory step.

Stages of the TS ICET counselling process:

  • Online Registration and Fee Payment: Candidates must first register on the official website and pay the processing fee. The fee for the General category is ₹1,200, while for SC/ST candidates, it is ₹600.
  • Slot Booking for Certificate Verification: After paying the fee, candidates must book a slot for a physical document verification at a designated helpline center.
  • In-Person Certificate Verification: On the booked date, candidates must visit the helpline center with all original documents and their photocopies for verification. This is a mandatory step to proceed to the next stage.
  • Exercising Web Options: Once the certificates are verified, candidates can log in to the official portal to exercise their web options. This involves selecting their preferred colleges and management courses from the available list.
  • Provisional Seat Allotment: Based on the candidate's TS ICET rank, caste, preferences, and seat availability, a provisional seat is allotted.
  • Tuition Fee Payment & Self-Reporting: The allotted candidates must pay the tuition fee online to confirm their seat.

This step-by-step process ensures a smooth transition from securing a rank to gaining a confirmed seat in a suitable MBA college.

Required Documents for Verification and Eligibility Criteria

The document verification stage is one of the most critical parts of the TS ICET counselling. Any discrepancy in documents can lead to the cancellation of a candidate's seat. Aspirants must prepare a checklist of all required documents well in advance to avoid any issues. The eligibility for TS ICET counselling requires a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% marks for the general category and 45% for reserved categories.

Mandatory documents for certificate verification:

  • TS ICET 2025 Rank Card & Hall Ticket: These are essential for initial verification.
  • Aadhar Card: Serves as a primary identity proof.
  • Academic Certificates: Originals and photocopies of Class 10, 12, and all years of the undergraduate degree.
  • Bonafide/Study Certificates: From Class IX to the degree level.
  • Transfer Certificate (TC): From the last attended institute.
  • Caste and Income Certificates: If applicable, to avail reservation benefits.
  • Residence/Domicile Certificate: To prove local status.

Having all these documents ready will make the admission process much easier.

Final Phase and Key Considerations

For those who either did not secure a seat in the first phase or wish to participate in a second attempt for a better college, the final phase of TS ICET counselling provides another opportunity. The process for the final phase is similar to the first, and candidates can use their previously verified certificates. This is an excellent opportunity for all management students to secure a seat. It is crucial for aspirants to research the colleges thoroughly before exercising their web options, as this decision will define their higher education and career path.
