As of today, February 24, 2026, the TS EAMCET 2026 registration window is seeing a steady rise in the number of applicants. Since the portal opened on February 19, students across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh have been busy filling out their details for the Engineering, Agriculture, and Pharmacy common entrance tests. Many students are spending this week carefully choosing their Preferences for exam centers and engineering branches. This year, the exam has been renamed as TG EAPCET, but it remains the most critical test for any student wishing to join a top engineering college in the state.

The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) Hyderabad, which is managing the exam on behalf of the state council, has reported that the system is running smoothly. Unlike last year, more students are opting for specialized branches like Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. Because the Registration process is entirely online, students are advised to check their internet connection before making the fee payment. The board has also reminded students that they have until April 4 to apply without paying any extra late fees.

1. Key Deadlines and Fee Structure

The authorities have released a clear schedule to help students manage their Registration without any confusion or last-minute rush.

  • Deadline Without Late Fee: All candidates should aim to finish their application by April 4, 2026, to avoid extra charges.
  • Late Fee Categories: If you miss the first date, you can still apply by paying late fees ranging from 250 to 10,000 rupees up until early May.
  • Application Cost: The basic fee for the Engineering stream is 900 rupees for general students and 500 rupees for SC/ST and PH candidates.
  • Official Portal: You must only use the Official TG EAPCET Website to pay your fees and submit your form.
  • Correction Window: If you make a small mistake in your Preferences, a correction window will be available from April 6 to April 8, 2026.

2. Eligibility and Required Documents

Before starting the Registration, it is very important for every Student to make sure they meet the basic rules set by the council.

  • Age Limit: For the Engineering stream, you must be at least 16 years old by December 31, 2026. There is no maximum age limit for this course.
  • Academic Marks: General category students must have at least 45% marks in their 12th standard (MPC), while reserved students need 40%.
  • Income Certificate: If you are applying for a fee waiver, you must have a valid income certificate issued after January 1, 2026.
  • Local Status: You must satisfy the local or non-local status rules of Telangana or Andhra Pradesh as per the TGCHE Guidelines.
  • Scanned Files: Keep a digital copy of your photograph (under 50 KB) and signature (under 30 KB) ready in JPG format for a quick upload.

3. Exam Pattern and Preparation Tips

Since the exam is a Computer Based Test (CBT), every Student should understand how the scoring works before the May exam dates.

  • Subject Weightage: The paper has 160 questions in total, with 80 in Mathematics, 40 in Physics, and 40 in Chemistry.
  • No Negative Marking: One of the best parts of this exam is that there is no penalty for wrong answers, so you can attempt all questions.
  • Exam Dates: The Engineering stream exams will take place from May 9 to May 11, 2026, in two different shifts each day.
  • Mock Tests: To practice the digital interface, students can visit the Official Mock Test Link provided by JNTUH.
  • Admit Cards: Hall tickets will be available for download starting April 27, 2026, for all registered engineering candidates.

Conclusion

The TS EAMCET 2026 is the primary gateway for thousands of young minds to enter the world of professional education. With the Registration phase now in its second week, students have enough time to consult with their parents and teachers about their final Preferences. It is better to complete the form now rather than waiting for the April deadline when the website might become slow. Every Student should focus on their core subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Math to ensure a high rank. By following the official instructions and keeping your documents ready, you can ensure that your journey toward becoming an engineer starts without any trouble.
