The Telangana State Council of Higher Education has announced the seat allotment details for TS DOST 2026 Phase 1 on May 14, 2026. Candidates can access their seat allotment orders by visiting the official website dost.cgg.gov.in and using their DOST ID and PIN. According to the process, only those candidates who had completed their registration and submitted their web options before the final deadline were included in the Phase 1 allotment list. 

It is important to note that only candidates who filled in their college preferences were considered for the seat allotment process. For Phase 1, candidates were required to pay a registration fee of Rs. 200 to be eligible for the allotment. This is a one-time payment that allows the candidate to receive their DOST ID and PIN, which are necessary for entering their web options.

How to Get the TS DOST 2026 Phase I Allotment Letter Download?

To download the allotment letter, follow these steps:

  • Login to the official DOST portal at www.dost.cgg.gov.in.
  • Use your DOST ID and password/PIN to check the allotment status.
  • Once the status is visible, download and keep the allotment letter.

The candidate must complete online self-reporting before the specified date. The self-reporting fee varies depending on the college type and the candidate's eligibility for ePass benefits. Candidates allotted seats in government colleges who are eligible for ePass benefits do not have to pay any fee. However, candidates allotted seats in private colleges must pay a fee of Rs. 500 if they are eligible for ePass benefits.

After the last self-report, the candidates should visit their allotted college along with their allotment letter and original documents. The University Board will verify their credentials and provide College Confirmation OTP (CCOTP) through SMS, it is the final step inside the admission mode.

Students may also choose to retain their 1st-level seat allocated and then be part of the 2-step counseling. It serves as a backup for their seat even as an attempt to improve in the 2D phase.

What's next for the students?

Students will have a DOST ID and PIN for additional use. To be allotted a university, they need to download and print the allotment letter. Before doing the self-report, candidates should check all the information in the allotment letter, including the call of the college, the allotted pathway, and their category. Those college students who are allocated places in Phase 1 need to complete the self-report in an effort to get into the college. On the other hand, those applicants who feel dissatisfied with the allotted college can be a part of Phase 2.
