NEET UG 2026 Counselling: MCC Extends Round 1 Registration Deadline to August 15

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has extended the Round 1 registration deadline for NEET UG 2026 counselling. Candidates can now complete their registration until August 15, 2026. The revised notice was published on the official MCC website, mcc.nic.in, on August 13, 2026. MCC has also revised the schedule for choice filling and locking, Round 1 seat allotment results and reporting at allotted institutes. Candidates should follow the updated schedule and complete each step within the prescribed deadline. The schedule has been revised following changes related to Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD). On August 5, 2026, the National Medical Commission (NMC) issued a new order updating the applicable rules for PwBD candidates. Following this development, MCC had paused the earlier choice-locking deadline. The revised schedule has been issued to give candidates additional time and ensure that the counselling process aligns with the updated PwBD guidelines.
