The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Tripura has released the updated schedule for NEET UG Counselling 2026. The new notification was published on 20th August 2026 regarding the extended last date for Round 1 registration. Candidates can apply for counselling at trmcc.admissions.nic.in  The Tripura Medical Counselling Committee (TRMCC) is conducting the process for state quota seats of MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BAMS, and BASLP courses. The eligible NEET UG 2026 candidates can apply for registration before the new last date. 

Key Details of the Revised Notification

Round 1 registration originally opened on August 18, 2026 at 3 PM. The extension covers registration, fee payment and choice filling stages. Exact revised dates are listed in the official notification PDF.

Eligibility Criteria For Applying

Candidates who have qualified the NEET UG 2026 exam are eligible to apply for counselling. However, they must possess a valid permanent resident certificate of Tripura. Only those applicants who meet the domicile criteria set by DME can reserve their seats under the state quota. Furthermore, candidates who fulfil the domicile conditions as prescribed by the Directorate of Medical Education can also apply.

1. NEET UG 2026 Scorecard cum Admit card
2. Class 10 and 12 Marksheets (H.S or +2)
3. Age proof and permanent address proof
4. Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS or WESM)
5. Disability certificate issued by a competent authority if any
6. Passport size photograph and signature in jpg/pdf format

How To Apply For NEET Counselling In Tripura?

Candidates can apply for counselling through the online portal only. The entire process will be carried out on the TRMCC portal. Therefore, Applicants must complete all procedures and registration before the last date.

1. Go to the official website trmcc.admissions.nic.in and navigate to the UG counselling tab
2. Apply by entering NEET UG 2026 roll number and other details.
3. Fill the application form and attach all the requisite documents
4. Make the payment of the registration fee through online mode
5. Furthermore, Pay the security deposit in the respective college through the online portal.
6. Finally, Submit the application and take a printout of the confirmation page.

Key Guidelines Regarding Registration

Candidates can apply only once on the given portal. Applying multiple times under different categories will lead to rejection of the application. All documents uploaded by the candidates must be genuine and true as they will be subjected to verification at the time of reporting. Candidates can make the payment of the application fee through net banking/debit card/credit card/UPI.

What to Do After the Registration Deadline?

After the closure of the registration window, the candidates will enter the choice-filling and locking portal. They will have to make choices for their preferred colleges and courses in the descending order. The TRMCC committee will then close the choice-filling window. The choice-cum-merit lock process will be performed by the committee. Finally, an allotment letter will be issued to the shortlisted candidates. The allotted candidates must report to the concerned institution with all the original documents and the allotment letter. The reporting of the selected candidates must be done within the stipulated time. Otherwise, their seat allocation will stand cancelled.
