The examinations were conducted from March 10 to April 6, 2026, across multiple centres in the state.

Although the board has not yet confirmed the exact date and time, past trends suggest that the results are likely to be declared in May. Last year, the results were announced on May 16 at 9 AM, and a similar timeline is expected this year as well. The official announcement will be made via a press conference, after which the result link will be activated online.

Once released, students can check their results on the official website, tnresults.nic.in, by entering their registration number and date of birth. The result will display subject-wise marks, overall score, and qualifying status. Students are advised to keep their login credentials ready to avoid last-minute delays.

The online marksheet available immediately after the result declaration will be provisional in nature. Students will have to collect their original marksheets from their respective schools a few days later. Additionally, students can also access their digital marksheets through DigiLocker for easy and secure storage.

As per the passing criteria set by the board, students must score a minimum of 35 marks out of 100 in each subject to pass the examination. Those who fail to meet the minimum requirement will be eligible to appear for supplementary exams, the schedule of which will be announced after the results.

The SSLC result holds significant importance as it determines students’ eligibility to move forward into higher secondary education streams such as science, commerce, or arts. With competition increasing each year, performance in Class 10 plays a crucial role in shaping future academic choices.
