In a crucial update for thousands of medical and dental aspirants in Telangana, the Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) has officially released the provisional merit list for the NEET UG 2025 counselling. This list, based on the NEET UG 2025 ranks of candidates who have completed the initial registration and certificate verification, is a pivotal document that determines eligibility for the upcoming rounds of seat allotment.
The release of the merit list follows the recent Supreme Court verdict which upheld the four-year local study rule for Telangana medical admissions, providing much-needed clarity for the counselling process. This ruling validates the state's efforts to ensure that local students get their due opportunities in medical education.
Key Dates and Next Steps
The provisional merit list is a precursor to the final merit list, which will be released after addressing any grievances. Following this, the university will open the web option entry for candidates to fill in their choices of courses and colleges. Aspirants are advised to meticulously study the merit list and the official notifications to make informed decisions.
The official schedule for the next phases, including choice filling and seat allotment, is expected to be released on the KNRUHS website shortly. Candidates who successfully registered and uploaded their certificates are advised to regularly check the university portal for the detailed schedule. It is vital to prioritize colleges and courses based on rank and personal preferences. Furthermore, be prepared with all original documents, as they will be verified at the time of admission at the allotted college.
