TANCET 2026: Important Dates and Fee Details

Aspirants must ensure they complete the three-step process—registration, document upload, and payment—within the stipulated timelines.

Step-by-Step Application Guide

The TANCET registration process is entirely digital and requires candidates to have their academic and identity documents ready in scanned formats.

1. New User Registration: Create an account using a valid email ID and mobile number.
2. Login & Form Filling: Enter personal details, community reservation data, and academic scores from Class 10, 12, and Graduation.
3. Document Upload: Upload a recent passport-sized photograph (20KB–30KB) and signature (10KB–11KB) as per the specific pixel requirements mentioned on the portal.
4. Fee Payment: Pay the non-refundable fee via the integrated online payment gateway.
5. Final Submission: Download the generated application PDF. This document is essential for the CAY (Counselling for Admission to MBA/MCA) process later in the year.

Why TANCET 2026 is Vital for Local Aspirants

Unlike national exams like CAT or XAT, TANCET provides a unique advantage to students from Tamil Nadu through state-level reservation policies and significantly lower tuition fees in government-affiliated colleges. For students aiming for prestigious institutions like the Department of Management Studies (DoMS) at Anna University or PSG Institute of Management, Coimbatore, TANCET scores are the critical differentiator. The exam pattern, which focuses on Business Situations, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude, Data Sufficiency, and English Usage, is designed to test a candidate's readiness for the rigorous MBA curriculum.

What After Registration?

Once the registration window closes, Anna University will verify the uploaded documents. Candidates with incomplete or blurred images will be notified to re-upload them. Following this, the TANCET 2026 Hall Tickets will be released. Students are advised to focus on the "Business Situations" section of the paper, as it is often the deciding factor in achieving a high percentile.
