Important Dates and Deadlines

  • Last Date to Confirm Tentative Allotment: August 3, 2025, until 5:00 PM.
  • Publication of Provisional Allotment Results: August 4, 2025, in PDF format.

Candidate Options After Tentative Allotment

After checking their allotment, candidates must choose one of the following four options:

  1. Accept and Join: This option is for candidates who are completely satisfied with the seat they have been allotted. By choosing this, they confirm their acceptance of the seat and must report to the respective college by the specified deadline to complete the admission formalities.
  2. Accept and Upward: This option is for candidates who wish to keep their current allotted seat but also want to be considered for a better-preferred choice in a subsequent counselling round. If they are not allotted a better seat in the next round, their initially accepted seat will be retained.
  3. Decline and Upward: This option is for candidates who are not satisfied with their current allotment and want to be considered for a better-preferred choice. This is a higher-risk option, as they are declining the current seat. If they do not get a better seat in the next round, they will be out of the counselling process.
  4. Decline and Quit: This is for candidates who are not interested in the allotted seat and wish to withdraw from the counselling process entirely.

The article also mentioned that there may be supplementary counselling rounds and provided specific details on seat availability at Anna University for various categories, which will be relevant for candidates who do not get their desired seat in the initial rounds.
