This crucial phase is for admission to Post Graduate Degree (MD/MS) and Diploma Courses in Tamil Nadu Government Medical Colleges, Government Seats in Self-Financing Medical Colleges, and seats in Dr. M.G.R. Medical University.

Aspirants who qualified in the NEET PG 2025 exam and meet the state's eligibility criteria must complete their registration and meticulously fill their choices before the approaching deadline.

Registration and Choice Filling Final Date

The online registration link, along with the facility for choice filling and locking, is currently active on the official website, tnmedicalselection.net.

Registration, Payment, Choice Filling, and Locking Deadline: November 24, 2025, up to 5:00 P.M.

Candidates within the specified merit ranks must ensure they complete the entire process—including choice filling, reordering, and final locking—well before the deadline to avoid any last-minute technical glitches.

Eligibility Criteria Based on Merit List

The Directorate has specified the following rank ranges for candidates eligible to participate in this initial round:

QuotaEligible State Rank Range
General Quota001 to 6989
Management Quota001 to 3912

Only students whose names and ranks fall within these ranges are eligible to fill the application form and participate in the first round of the web-based counselling process.

Important Admission Schedule

The timeline for the remaining activities of Round 1 is tight and requires candidates to be prepared for swift action once the allotment is announced:

  • Round 1 Seat Allotment Result: November 26, 2025
  • Downloading of Provisional Allotment Letter: November 26, 2025, to December 3, 2025
  • Last Date of Joining Allotted College: December 3, 2025 (up to 5:00 P.M.)

Candidates who are successfully allotted a seat must download their Provisional Allotment Letter and complete the physical reporting and admission formalities at the respective college on or before December 3, 2025. Failure to report within this deadline will lead to the cancellation of the allotted seat.

Mandatory Documents for Verification

Aspirants must keep the following crucial documents ready, as they will be required for verification at the time of reporting to the allotted college. This list includes both academic and state-specific documents:

  • NEET PG 2025 Score Card and Admit Card
