The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Tamil Nadu (TN Health), has released the official, tentative schedule for the Round 1 Counselling for DNB (Diplomate of National Board) Admissions 2025. This notification is crucial for candidates seeking seats in both the Post-MBBS 2-year Diploma courses and the Post-MBBS DNB Broad Speciality programmes offered in Government Medical Colleges across the state for the 2025-2026 academic session.

The process, governed by the Selection Committee, outlines a compressed and important window for registration, choice filling, and seat acceptance, requiring prompt action from all eligible candidates.

Round 1 DNB Counselling Key Dates

Candidates must adhere strictly to the following dates and times for the online allotment process:

This schedule mandates that the registration, payment, and choice filling window is open for a focused four-day period, ending on the evening of November 24th.

Mandatory Fees and Instructions

Aspirants participating in the DNB selection process under the Government Quota must complete two essential financial requirements during the registration:

  1. Non-Refundable Registration Fee: All candidates must remit a non-refundable fee of ₹1,000/- for participation in the DNB counselling process.
  2. Refundable Security Deposit: A mandatory refundable security deposit of ₹30,000/- is required for seats in the Government Medical Colleges.

Choice Filling Guidelines:

  • All Eligible Candidates as per the official merit list are permitted to participate in the choice filling and locking process.
  • Candidates are advised to read the Prospectus thoroughly before beginning the choice filling.
  • The Seat Matrix detailing the available DNB courses and seats will be published on the official websites. Aspirants must exercise their options carefully, listing preferences in the correct order.
  • Choices can be edited any number of times until the final deadline. However, once the choices are locked, they cannot be edited. If a candidate does not lock their choices by 5:00 P.M. on November 24, 2025, the system will automatically lock their last-saved options.

Post-Allotment Procedures

After the seat allotment result is published on November 26, successful candidates must take the following steps to confirm their admission:

  1. Download Allotment Order: Candidates can download their Provisional Allotment Order directly from the official website, www.tnmedicalselection.net.
  2. Reporting to College: The most crucial final step is to report in person to the allotted institution on or before the Last Date of Joining, December 3, 2025 (05:00 P.M.). Candidates must bring all ORIGINAL CERTIFICATES for verification at the time of joining. Failure to report by the stipulated time will lead to the automatic cancellation of the selection.

The Selection Committee will not individually contact candidates. Aspirants are advised to remain in constant touch with the official website for all updates, results, and notices pertaining to the DNB counselling.
