On May 8, 2026, at 9:30 AM, the TNDGE released the Class 12 HSE (+2) results. The percentage of students who passed was 95.20%, a small increase from last year's 95.03%.

On May 8, 2026, at 9:30 AM, the TNDGE released the Class 12 HSE (+2) results. The percentage of students who passed was 95.20%, a small increase from last year's 95.03%. To check and download the provisional marks memo, students can visit tnresults.nic.in or dge.tn.gov.in. When downloading the marks, they must enter their registration number and date of birth.

A total of 827,475 students registered for the exam, including 7.99 lakh regular candidates and 27,783 private candidates. The Class 12 exams were held from March 2 to March 26, 2026, at 3,412 examination centers across Tamil Nadu. Girls performed better than boys, with 97% passing compared to 93.19%. 

How to Check Tamil Nadu 12th Result 2026?

The Tamil Nadu +2 Result 2026 can be found on official websites such as tnresults.nic.in or dge.tn.gov.in.
Students should click on the button labeled "TN HSE (+2) Result 2026." Once they click that link, they need to enter their registration number and date of birth in the provided boxes. Then, they can click the "Get Marks" button.

Immediately after filling in all the details, students will receive their provisional marks card.
It is important to download this card right away for future use. In addition to the official websites, students can also check their Tamil Nadu Class 12 results through DigiLocker.

Verification and Documents Required for Students

Once students download the provisional marks memo, they should carefully check all the details listed in the memo. This includes personal information, the subjects taken, marks received, the roll number, and whether the result is declared as passed. 

If they find any mistakes, they should inform their school authorities right away. The provisional memo serves as a valid document for applying to colleges until the school provides the original marks sheet.

Future Prospects for the Students

Students who didn't pass the Tamil Nadu HSE +2 exam are allowed to take the supplementary exams.
Details about these exams will be shared soon. The provisional mark sheet will be available on May 13, 2026. This gives students the chance to start applying for college admissions.

For admission to undergraduate programs in arts, science, commerce, engineering, and other professional courses, Tamil Nadu Class 12 marks are required. The college application process will begin after the results are released.
