The Directorate of Admissions and Competitive Examinations (DACE) is the admission wing of University of Kashmir, Srinagar. The Directorate has officially extended the last date for submission of online application forms for admission to B.Tech and M.Tech programmes for the 2026 session.

Since loads of aspirants asked for an extension in the deadline of the registration process, the Directorate has extended the deadline to newer dates. The new deadline for Bachelor of Technology and Master of Technology has been extended to today, May 21, 2026. The candidates who want to apply in one of these two program shall apply today on May 21, 2026.
This has been informed to the candidate by original notifications which are issued vide Admission Notification Nos. 07 and 08 of 2026 dated April 21, 2026. The Directorate has also made it clear that candidates who have already submitted their forms but not updated their eligibility details can do so by the same extended date.
Separately, the M.Tech application window for non-GATE candidates will be open from June 1, 2026 to June 30, 2026.

B.Tech Admission 2026
B.Tech admission at the University of Kashmir will rely on JEE Main 2026 scores. Selection Criteria is based on the best of two JEE Main 2026 attempts. The programme goes through four years across eight semesters and is offered in specialisations including Computer Science Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Electronics and Communication Engineering, across university campuses.

The application fee for the Bachelor of Technology program is Rs. 500. Enrollment and tuition fees for the programme are Rs. 3,700 and Rs. 10,000 respectively per year.
