Aspiring mid-career professionals aiming for an accelerated leadership journey have a critical deadline approaching as the S.P. Jain Institute of Management & Research (SPJIMR) announces the impending closure of its Phase II application window for the Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM) 2025. The final date to submit duly completed applications for this prestigious 18-month program is July 31, 2025.

The SPJIMR PGPM is an AICTE-approved, full-time program meticulously designed for experienced professionals seeking to transition into general management roles or accelerate their careers. It aims to transform functional specialists into versatile, value-based leaders. The program for the Class of 2026 is scheduled to commence on December 1, 2025.

Key Highlights and Eligibility for PGPM:

The PGPM is renowned for its immersive curriculum, global exposure, and strong industry connect. To be eligible for this highly sought-after program, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Academic Qualification: A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent CGPA from a recognized university.
  • Work Experience: A minimum of three years of full-time, relevant work experience as of December 1, 2025. (Internships, unpaid work, or part-time roles are generally not considered).
  • Entrance Exam Scores: Applicants must submit valid scores from either the GMAT (including the Focus Edition, taken between September 30, 2020, and September 30, 2025) or CAT (scores from 2022, 2023, or 2024).
  • RESTART Initiative: SPJIMR also offers a unique "RESTART Initiative" tailored for women professionals who have taken a career break of two years or more, provided they have a minimum of three years of prior full-time work experience.

Application and Selection Process:

The application process for the SPJIMR PGPM is entirely online, with a non-refundable application fee of INR 2000. Candidates must accurately fill in their academic details, work experience, and provide their test scores on the official portal.

SPJIMR employs a rolling admission process for its PGPM program, meaning applications are reviewed and interview shortlists are released in phases. The selection process is comprehensive, focusing on:

  1. Profile-Based Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted based on their overall profile, which includes academic consistency, the quality and relevance of their work experience, versatility, and notable achievements beyond academics.
  2. Personal Interviews: Shortlisted candidates are then invited for personal interviews, which are conducted on a rolling basis. These interviews assess communication skills, leadership potential, clarity of thought, and alignment with the program's objectives.
  3. Final Selection: The final admission offers are extended based on a holistic evaluation of the applicant's profile, academic record, valid entrance test scores, the relevance and quality of work experience, and their performance in the interview rounds.

Crucial Steps for Aspirants:

With the July 31 deadline fast approaching for Phase II applications, aspiring candidates are strongly advised to:

  • Complete Applications: Ensure all sections of the online application form are meticulously filled out and submitted well before the deadline.
  • Upload Documents: Double-check that all required supporting documents, including academic transcripts, work experience certificates, and test score reports, are uploaded correctly.
  • Submit Scores: Confirm that their GMAT/CAT scores have been officially sent to SPJIMR as per the institution's guidelines.

Utilizing this final opportunity for Phase II can significantly impact an aspirant's chance of securing a seat in one of India's leading management programs. Candidates awaiting their GMAT/CAT scores that align with the submission deadlines for Phase III (September 15, 2025) may consider that option.

For detailed information and to apply, aspirants should visit the official SPJIMR PGPM admissions portal: spjimr.org/pgpm-admissions-open/.
