The SOIL Institute of Management has outlined its admission criteria for the upcoming 2025-27 Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) batch, a crucial update for thousands of management aspirants aiming for a top B-school. The institute has confirmed that it will accept scores from the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT), with an expected cutoff in the range of the 93 to 95 percentile. This news serves as a vital guide for students to understand what to aim for and how to prepare for the final stages of the MBA admission process.

Beyond the CMAT score, SOIL's admission policy is designed to be holistic, giving due importance to a candidate's complete profile. This approach ensures that the selection process is not just about a single exam performance but a comprehensive evaluation of a student's potential. In addition to CMAT, the institute also considers scores from other major entrance exams, including CAT, XAT, GMAT, NMAT, and MAT.

A key part of SOIL's selection process is the emphasis on a candidate’s academic background, demonstrated leadership potential, and intellectual capacity. The institute's unique approach includes a two-part final selection round. Candidates who are shortlisted based on their application profile and entrance exam scores are invited to participate in a Design Thinking Workshop. This is followed by a Personal Interview (PI) round, where a candidate's communication skills, clarity of thought, and career aspirations are assessed.

Unlike many other institutions, the SOIL Institute of Management does not enforce sectional cutoffs for its accepted entrance exams. The final selection is based on a composite score that takes into account the full spectrum of a candidate's application. For this reason, it is essential for aspirants to meticulously prepare for both the CMAT and the subsequent interview rounds.
