With the Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) 2025 results released on January 9, 2026, the focus has shifted to the mandatory selection rounds. Over 17 Symbiosis institutes have begun their Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interaction (PI) phases, which are critical for final merit list preparation. According to the official admission guidelines, the SNAP score carries 50% weightage, while the shortlisted candidates' performance in the upcoming interactions will decide the remaining 50% of the total score.

• Slot Booking: Shortlisted aspirants must log in to the specific institute's website (e.g., sibm.edu) to book their GE-PI slots.
• Selection Criteria: The selection process assesses communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• WAT Component: While some institutes have shifted to online modes, the Writing Ability Test (WAT) remains a tool for evaluating candidate vocabulary and thought clarity.
• Profile Evaluation: Academic history and work experience are also factored in during the final shortlisted candidate review.

Institute-Specific Interview Schedules

Top-tier institutes like SIBM Pune and SCMHRD have released their specific timelines for the interview rounds. SIBM Pune’s online selection process is scheduled in two phases during mid-February, while SCMHRD is conducting its GE-PI rounds for the core MBA program from late January through early February 2026.

The merit list for these programs is expected to be published by February 27, 2026. Every candidate is advised to prepare a concise self-introduction and stay updated on current business affairs to excel in the interview panel discussions.

Conclusion

As the selection rounds progress, candidates must ensure they have all original documents ready for digital or physical verification. The competitive nature of the merit list requires a balanced performance in both the GE and PI segments. Those who have successfully navigated the shortlisted criteria for multiple institutes should prioritize their preparation based on their preferred specialization. For real-time updates on result links and waitlist movements, candidates should frequently visit the SIU official dashboard. The culmination of these interview rounds will mark the final step before the academic session commences in June 2026.
