Following the release of the SNAP 2025 results on January 9, the academic landscape across Symbiosis International University (SIU) is buzzing with activity. As the individual institutes begin the rigorous evaluation of candidate profiles, the first set of cut-off trends has started to emerge. These benchmarks are crucial for thousands of aspirants who are now calculating their chances of securing a call for the subsequent GE-PI-WAT rounds.

Primary Cut-off Projections for Top Institutes

Early data indicates that the percentile requirements for the flagship programs remain highly competitive. SIBM Pune is expected to lead with a cut-off in the range of 98.5 to 99, while SCMHRD follows closely with a projected 97 to 98. This year’s evaluation suggests that despite a moderate difficulty level across the three test slots in December, the high number of test-takers has kept the entry barriers elevated.

Aspirants who achieved a high percentile are now shifting their focus toward institute-specific registration portals. It is noted that the evaluation process at the institute level considers not just the raw score, but also the academic diversity and professional background of the applicants. For mid-tier institutes like SIIB and SIBM Bengaluru, the cut-off is likely to settle between 90 and 93, providing a broader window for successful candidates.

  • High-Tier Threshold: 98+ for SIBM Pune and SCMHRD.
  • Mid-Tier Threshold: 90–94 for SIIB and SIBM Bengaluru.
  • Specialized Programs: 80–87 for SIOM (Operations) and SCIT (IT Management).

Score vs. Percentile Analysis

The relationship between raw marks and the final percentile is a key trend being monitored by experts this week. Based on initial reports from candidates, a score of approximately 42–44 marks out of 60 is translating into a 98+ percentile. This reflects a slight shift from previous years, attributed to the balanced difficulty of the Quantitative and Logical Reasoning sections.

Institute

Expected Cut-off (Gen)

Score Range (Out of 60)

SIBM Pune

98.5+

43 – 45

SCMHRD

97 – 98

40 – 42

SIIB Pune

93+

36 – 38

SIBM Bengaluru

90+

34 – 35

SIOM Nashik

87+

32 – 33

Conclusion

As the evaluation of the candidate pool progresses, the final shortlists are expected to be released by the third week of January. While the SNAP score remains the primary filter, the emerging cut-off trends highlight the necessity for a high percentile to secure a seat in the premier SIU institutes. Candidates are advised to keep their documents ready for the next phase of the admission cycle, as the university maintains its strict timeline for the 2026-28 batch.
