Design aspirants seeking admission to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University's (SMVDU) innovative 'Design Your Degree' (DYD) Four-Year Undergraduate Program (FYUP) must make immediate preparations, as the Spot Round counselling is scheduled for tomorrow, July 30, 2025. While the online registration window for new candidates closed yesterday, July 28, all registered applicants – both fresh and those who previously applied – are now required to physically report for this crucial stage.

  • Reporting Closing Time: 11:30 AM. Candidates must ensure they arrive well before this time for registration and verification.
  • Merit List Display: The merit list of shortlisted candidates based on their performance will be displayed at the venue after 2:00 PM on the same day.
  • Admission & Fee Payment: Provisional admission will be offered to selected candidates immediately after the seat allocation. The full admission fee (excluding hostel and mess charges) must be paid digitally on the spot via Debit/Credit Card, UPI, or Net Banking. No cash or cheque payments will be accepted.

Eligibility & Selection Process:

Admission to the DYD program in the spot round is open to candidates who have passed their 10+2 Examination or equivalent with at least 50% aggregate marks. Selection will be based on merit, primarily derived from CUET (UG) 2025 scores. For applicants who did not appear for CUET, their Class 12th marks will be considered.

Documents to Bring for Physical Reporting (Originals + Self-Attested Photocopies):

Candidates must arrive with all the following documents in original, along with one set of self-attested photocopies for verification:

  • SMVDU Application Form (and payment receipt if a fresh registration)
  • Class 10th Marksheet (for Date of Birth proof)
  • Class 12th Marksheet
  • CUET (UG) 2025 Scorecard (if applicable)
  • Category Certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwD), if applicable
  • GAP Certificate (if there is an academic gap of more than one year)
  • AADHAR Card (as Photo ID Proof)
  • Two recent passport-size photographs
  • Migration / Transfer / Character Certificates (to be provided as and when available)

Note: Physical presence (either in person or by an authorized representative with a duly signed authority letter and valid ID proof) is mandatory for the counselling process. Failure to produce the required original documents will lead to the forfeiture of the claim to the seat.
