Which Candidates Report in Each Window?
The first time period is for students admitted through SMVDU's own counselling.
This includes undergraduate admissions handled directly by the university, postgraduate programs, and Ph.D. students starting in the first semester of AY 2026-27.These students should report on campus between August 5 and August 14, 2026.
The second time period is for students who got admission through JoSAA, CSAB, CCMT, and CCMN.
These include students who got engineering seats through JoSAA, and postgraduate technical seats through CCMT and CCMN. Their reporting period runs from August 18 to August 22, 2026.
How to Report at SMVDU for AY 2026-27?
Students must go personally to the SMVDU campus in Katra, Jammu and Kashmir.
They should bring their allotment letter, original academic documents, category certificate if needed, and proof of fee payment. The exact list of documents is given in the official notification on the admissions portal.
Students should arrive at the campus during their assigned time frame.
If they report late, their seat may be cancelled. It is advised that they plan their travel and stay in Katra around the reporting dates.
