The Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology (SLIET) has released the counselling schedule for admissions through SET 2026 for different courses. The entrance exam will take place on Saturday, 9th May 2026, in an online format for courses such as ICD, B.E. Lateral Entry, Integrated M.Tech., M.Sc., M.Tech., and MBA. The results are expected to be announced on 18th May 2026, after which candidates will be allowed to fill in their choices and participate in the counselling process.
Multiple rounds of counselling will be conducted as part of the SET 2026 admission process to fairly distribute the seats among eligible candidates. Candidates are required to pay a token amount of INR 5,000 as a deposit for seat acceptance, which will be adjusted against the institute fees later. If a candidate gets a seat but chooses not to accept it, this amount will not be refunded. However, if a candidate does not get any seat, the token amount will be returned to them.

SLIET SET 2026 Counselling Schedule - B.E. Lateral Entry
The counselling process for B.E. Lateral Entry and Integrated M.Tech.
Lateral Entry will follow a similar schedule. Seat allotment will begin on June 25, 2026. Students in Group A and Group C can select their preferred options via the choice-filling process from May 19 to May 29, 2026. There will be multiple rounds of seat allotment, and students must make sure to pay the fees before each round’s deadline.
Important Instructions for Students
Students who are allotted seats must pay the required fees within the given time frame. If they fail to pay by the deadline, their allotted seats will be cancelled. Eligible students should complete their branch preferences for ICD, B.E. Lateral entry in Group A and Group C and integrated M.Tech.in Group A. The confirmation of successful online fee payment will be visible in the student’s login account. The institute will not be held responsible for any issues that arise during the payment process.
Integrated B.Sc.-M.Sc. and M.Sc./M.Tech. Programs
Admissions to the integrated B.Sc.-M.Sc. programme will be based on merit from exams like JEE Main, PUCET UG, CUCET UG, NEET, or SET-II. The seat allocation for this program will happen on August 2, 2026. If there are any remaining seats after the initial allocation, a spot round will be held on August 13, 2026. For the M.Sc. and M.Tech. programmes, admissions will also be based on merit from exams such as JAM, PUCET, CUCET, GATE, or SET. The seat allocation for these programmes will take place on August 7, 2026, and classes are expected to start on August 18, 2026.
PhD and MBA Admissions
The admission schedule for PhD programmes at SLIET will be different. Registration will be open from February 10, 2026, to August 5, 2026. The entrance exam for the PhD will be held on August 6, 2026. For the MBA programme, admissions will be based on scores from CAT, CMAT, GATE, or SET-IV. The dates for group discussions and interviews will be communicated separately. Candidates are advised to prepare all required documents in advance to avoid any delays during the admission process.
