SLAT 2027 registration is underway for candidates seeking admission to undergraduate law programmes offered by Symbiosis International (Deemed University). Candidates can register through the official SLAT website  slat-test.org, with the registration and payment deadline set for December 4, 2026. The Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT) 2027 will be conducted in computer-based mode on December 19 and December 26, 2026.

Candidates filling the SLAT 2027 application form should check their eligibility, personal and academic details, photograph and programme choices carefully before submitting the form. The official registration guidelines state that no changes will be permitted after registration. SIU also states that if information provided by a candidate is found to be incorrect, it has the right to cancel the application or admission.

SLAT 2027 Registration: 7 Things Candidates Should Remember

1. Check SLAT 2027 Eligibility Before Applying

Candidates should verify that they meet the eligibility requirements for the programme they wish to apply for.

For the undergraduate law programmes covered by SLAT 2027, candidates must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognised board with at least 45% marks or equivalent grade. The minimum requirement is 40% for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe categories.

Candidates should check the programme-specific requirements before completing the form.

2. Keep the Required Information and Photograph Ready

Candidates should keep their academic and personal information ready before beginning the registration process.

The official SLAT registration instructions require candidates to upload a latest scanned colour passport-size photograph. The photograph should not be more than six months old.

Candidates applying under specified reserved categories may also be required to submit relevant supporting documents issued by the competent authority.

3. Enter Personal and Academic Details Carefully

Candidates are responsible for providing correct information in the online registration form.

The official SLAT website specifically states that no changes will be permitted after registration. Candidates should therefore cross-check their name, date of birth, contact details, academic information and other credentials before completing the registration.

Incorrect information can have consequences for the application or admission process.

4. Use an Active Email ID and Mobile Number

Candidates should provide a valid and unique email account and mobile phone number and maintain them throughout the admission process.

SLAT also uses registered contact details for important communication. Candidates are advised to check their email regularly, including the spam or junk folder, if they do not receive registration or payment confirmation.

5. Understand the SLAT 2027 Fee Structure

Candidates should note that SLAT has a test registration fee as well as a separate programme registration fee.

ComponentFee
SLAT test registration₹2,550 per test
Programme registration₹1,000 per programme
TaxesApplicable as prescribed

The SLAT test fee and programme fee are non-refundable and non-transferable. Paying only the test fee does not make a candidate eligible for shortlisting for a particular programme; candidates must also pay the programme registration fee for the programme or programmes they wish to apply for.

6. Review the SLAT 2027 Form Before Final Submission

Candidates should review the entire application before completing registration.

The following details should be checked carefully:

  • Name and personal details
  • Date of birth
  • Email ID and mobile number
  • Academic information
  • Category information, wherever applicable
  • Uploaded photograph
  • Selected Symbiosis law programme or programmes
  • Payment details and confirmation

This step is particularly important because the official SLAT instructions state that changes are not permitted after registration.

7. Keep Checking the Official SLAT Website

Candidates should regularly monitor the official SLAT website for updates after completing registration.

For SLAT 2027, the current official schedule lists the registration deadline as December 4, 2026, admit cards on December 11 and December 18 for the two tests, the tests on December 19 and December 26, and the result on January 12, 2027.

The official website also states that candidates can appear for both tests, with the higher score considered for the final percentile calculation.

What Happens After SLAT 2027 Registration?

SLAT is the common entrance test for the participating Symbiosis law programmes, but registration for the test is not the end of the admission process.

Candidates must also register for the institutes and programmes they wish to apply to by paying the applicable programme registration fee. If shortlisted, candidates then participate in the subsequent admission process conducted separately by the respective institute.

The participating institutes listed on the official SLAT website slat-test.org are Symbiosis Law School Pune, Symbiosis Law School Noida, Symbiosis Law School Hyderabad and Symbiosis Law School Nagpur.

The SLAT 2027 test itself comprises 60 questions across five sections—Logical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning, Analytical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension and General Knowledge. The test duration is 60 minutes and the official pattern specifies no negative marking.

Candidates should therefore complete the application carefully, ensure that both required fee components are paid for their selected programmes and continue monitoring the official website for further admission updates.
