Haryana NEET PG 2026: Four Government Medical Colleges Told to Release Original Documents

Published 31 Oct 20264 min read

The Haryana government has directed four government medical colleges to release the original academic documents of MBBS graduates who have been allotted postgraduate (MD/MS) seats in NEET PG 2026 counselling. The order is meant to help candidates complete their admission formalities without delay.
Candidates affected by the order should contact their respective college to understand the applicable document-transfer process and, where required, the undertaking they must sign. Importantly, the direction does not confirm that every candidate has already received their documents — it instructs colleges to release them.
Which Colleges Are Covered?
The order applies to four government medical colleges in Haryana:
- PGIMS Rohtak — Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Rohtak
- BPS Government Medical College — Sonipat
- Kalpana Chawla Government Medical College — Karnal
- SHKM Government Medical College — Nalhar, Nuh
Candidates who completed their MBBS from any of these four institutions and have been allotted PG seats should approach their college for the release of their original documents.
Different Arrangements for Haryana and Other States
The document-release process differs depending on where the candidate is joining their PG course.
Candidates joining PG courses within Haryana
For candidates who have been allotted PG seats at institutions within Haryana, original documents will be transferred directly to the admitting institution through special messengers. Candidates do not need to collect and physically carry the documents themselves.
Candidates joining PG courses outside Haryana
For candidates joining PG courses outside Haryana, the process involves an undertaking. Candidates must:
Provide an undertaking to return their MBBS degree and other original certificates within three weeks of completing their PG degree or diploma.
Join their remaining government service within three months of completing the course.
The undertaking is a formal commitment — candidates should read it carefully before signing and retain a copy for their records. [VERIFY: Exact undertaking format and whether a stamp paper or notarisation is required]
Service Bond Continues
The document-release order does not affect the candidate's service bond obligation.
The two or three years spent pursuing postgraduate study will count towards the five-year service bond. Any remaining government service must be completed after the PG course is finished.
Candidates should therefore clearly distinguish between:
- Document-release permission — the immediate issue addressed by this order, and
- Continuing service obligations — the bond requirement that remains in force regardless of document release.
The two are separate matters. Getting original documents released does not reduce or cancel the service bond.
What Candidates Should Do Now
Candidates who completed MBBS from any of the four colleges and have been allotted PG seats should:
- Contact their college — ask about the document-release process and the timeline.
- Confirm whether they are joining within or outside Haryana — the process differs.
- If joining outside Haryana, prepare the undertaking — check the exact format with the college. [VERIFY: Undertaking format]
- Keep copies of all documents and the undertaking — for future reference.
- Track the service bond obligation — PG study counts towards it, but the remaining service must be completed afterward.
