SLAT 2026: SLS Pune Releases Second Merit List; Shortlisted Candidates Must Complete Fee Payment to Secure Admission

Following the conclusion of the first round of admissions, the second list has been published to fill the remaining vacancies in the highly sought-after five-year integrated LL.B. programs—B.A. LL.B. SLS Pune SLAT 2026: Admission Timeline for Second List

Shortlisted candidates must adhere to a strict window for fee submission. Failure to complete the formalities within the stipulated time will result in the forfeiture of the seat, which will then be offered to waitlisted candidates in the next round.

How to Check the SLS Pune Second Merit List

Candidates are advised to follow these steps to verify their selection:

1. Visit the official SLS Pune website: slspune.edu.in.
2. Click on the 'Admissions 2026 - Second Merit List' banner.
3. Enter your SLAT ID and Password.
4. View your scorecard and the status of your allotment.
5. Action Required: Download the "Provisional Offer Letter" and the fee payment instructions if you have been selected.

Understanding the Selection Criteria

The merit list is not based solely on the SLAT entrance score. SLS Pune follows a comprehensive weightage system to ensure a holistic intake:

• SLAT Score: 50% Weightage (Scaled down from the entrance marks).
• Personal Interaction (PI): 30% Weightage (Testing communication and legal aptitude).
• Writing Ability Test (WAT): 20% Weightage (Testing analytical and drafting skills).

The release of the second list indicates that the cut-off percentiles have slightly dipped compared to the first list, providing an opportunity for those who were previously in the waitlisted category.

What After the Second Merit List?

1. Fee Payment: Candidates must pay the first installment of the academic fee and the security deposit via the online payment link provided in their portal.
2. Document Verification: All original academic transcripts, caste certificates (if applicable), and identity proofs must be uploaded for digital verification.
3. Waitlist Movement: If seats remain vacant after March 4, SLS Pune will release a Third Merit List. Candidates who are currently "Waitlisted" should keep their login credentials ready for the next update.
